Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea

Throw in Lavia to get it across the line - he can make the tea at Strasbourg or something.

Wouldn't even notice he was gone. Strausbourg have some CM that Brighton want for 22.5M as well, and they don't often miss with transfers.

Is it fair to say that our sister club in France has a better midfield than us?

Wonder how much blueco signed that midfielder for.

I think this is the player/transfer that will define the ownership, as bizarre as that may sound.

If we’re legitimately about buying the best young talent and developing them into a team that will dominate for the next decade then he stays.

If we’ve just become a profit focussed club then he’s sold.

Interesting summer ahead.

I agree. Given the issues we have in midfield currently, Santos would logically be brought back this summer. Lavia cannot be relied on with his injury issues. Enzo F still doesn't convince, and we already tried to offload KDH in January so can assume he will be moved on.

That being said Santos is the most likely midfielder player to be sellable on a profit so it feels almost inevitable this will happen with our ownership model.

Sell Enzo.

While that would be logical it would almost certainly necessitate a loss on the side of the owners. Maybe they will work out some sort of swap, if there is any truth in the rumours of Real Madrid's interest. But Santos is probably going to be sold for the same reasons we offloaded Conor.
