Him being here makes little difference to thatI agree with most of that, but it looks like we are in serious need of a midfielder now (or even two), and I'm not so sure Scott is who we need either.I'm getting the growing feeling that we'll be stuck with Enzo at least till Christmas.

2 hours ago2 hr I think it's smart to turn off the internet for the day. Right now 90% of what we hear is just noise that has an agenda. Whether to drive up the fee or to drive down the fee of someone we're trying to buy.
2 hours ago2 hr If this falls through, I will be sick. Vibe around the squad feel so good. Its been such a good summer. We cannot have this sod at the club.

2 hours ago2 hr He’s gone, it’s inevitable, I just can’t fathom why City are so desperate for him? He had a few good performances in Europe, but I can’t genuinely remember a single time in the PL he’s looked anywhere close to good enough.Get Camara in this window, poach Wharton on the cheap in January when Palace are mathematically relegated.
1 hour ago1 hr If we have genuinely turned down a City bid in excess of £120m then we are crazy. There is virtually no market for Enzo at the price we are asking. Of the clubs that could afford him, City are the only ones that actually want him, and that's probably 100% Maresca's doing (I can't imagine Guardiola would have been interested if he was still their manager). A bird in the hand and all that ... Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by Sexyfootball

1 hour ago1 hr Feels like City want a Maresca compensation amount discount to essentially get their money back. Feels like there’s a lot of pride and saving face on top of the standard transfer.
1 hour ago1 hr If City do get their man, I will personally shake the hands of Maresca should I ever meet him. i dont know if i am laughing or crying that another club value Enzo at 120 million, are prepared to pay it, and the deal, at this stage, looks like its going through says BBC as clubs enter into final negotiations. Wonder if the directors are trying to get first dibs on Haarland...

28 minutes ago28 min I assume Monaco or Roma is just trying to extract more money out of us and they know we need to purchase, but I am a little nervous if we don't get a replacement. If Caicedo is out we have some pretty big issues. While I really want Enzo sold... if it was between selling him with no replacement or keeping him, I'd have to say we might need to keep. Also very irritated City apparently left it so late, and how much groundwork we apparently did or didn't do for replacements.

That may have been part of the hold up on the Enzo transfer.
15 minutes ago15 min Not sure there has been any other player at the club whose sale is so welcomed. Anyone care to jog/refresh my memory? would have taken 80 million tbh... Im delighted I dont ever have to see his face in a chelsea shirt again. Thanks Enzo for.... ummm... stinking out the place.
12 minutes ago12 min City are insane. We significantly overpaid for him after the 2022 World Cup, and they've now gone for the bait hook line and sinker. Thank god the idiot Maresca wanted him and fluked two wins to start the season to make City's bigwigs believe in him !Great that he'll be their problem now and not ours.Cherki and Foden must be spitting bricks LOL
10 minutes ago10 min £125mill, even more than the upper limit being bandied around. For a player with maturity issues who only looked good because he was in a terrible disorganised team last season. Maybe he will be a genuine world beater but the risk doesn't seem worth that much money. Still, phenomenal work from whoever does the selling negotiations.
