If it is true, and the package is worth between 130mill and 140mill pounds, not euros, and the add ons are mostly all easy to get, then we have to take it.

I really don't want Camavinga. That feels like settling because the offer for Enzo is too good to refuse and we can't get Scott or Wharton so late in the window.

The board seems to be set on Scott, but I don't know... I feel a midfielder in the mould of Rice/Anderson would be a better fit next to Caicedo. If only Lavia were to be trusted from a fitness pov... He'd have been perfect there.

If that proves true I'd turn it down. They need to cough up more Imo.

City are desperate though. They have sold so many midfielder and Maresca needs Enzo as his big statement signing. I'd like to see us get at least 135mill all in.

You know if we do get in around 240mill for Delap, Jackson and Enzo we could slap down offers of 105mill for Wharton, 95mill for Scott and 10mill for Emi Martinez.

Should be Camavinga + one of Scott or Wharton. Both Scott and Camavinga are very versatile and can deputise for Rogers/Palmer/Estevao if needed in a more forward role, and Camavinga is also very good as a WB if needed.

It probably sounds counterintuitive but signing players with the expectation of CL football next season a) sets the standard and b) means we won't be seen as desperate to buy next season when we will need to spend to upgrade the squad.

For the sake of extra 15m it’s really not worth it.

I think there’s one more signing in us as well, especially after Delap and Jackson sale. It could be a busy end to the transfer window.

Take anything over his book value. 80M+ and pay for his uber.

Watched an excerpt from a random podcast on social media from two Man City blokes and they said that having sold so many important players this summer, City have this duty of pleasing Maresca with one signing that he specifically asked for and that is Enzo Fernandez.

They have a point. If this gets done for anything between 130M to 140M then fair play to the owners, no way you can pass up on that.

Times running out for getting a replacement, however if the deal goes through then hoping that we only bring in a player that Alonso specifically wants.

How? Neither player is coming here to sit on the bench on big wages, and we are playing once a week. They also can’t play an inside forward role, and what happens to Quenda/Estevao in that situation?

The Scott/Wharton links are funny to me, and seems very lazy. We are in peak CM/winger market this summer, last summer was the CF one. Everyone overpaid for CFs and I can’t think of anyone that was worth the money.

If there is even a chance either Camavinga/Tchouameni are available at a fraction of the overrated PL pair, I would opt for the former every time. There is a reason the former have played and won trophies for the biggest club on the planet, while the latter aren’t attracting offers from Europe’s finest.
