Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!

Brazil produced fantastic footballers over past few decades, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Kaka, Carlos, Cafu, Ronaldo, the list is endless.

It’s absolutely criminal to include Neymar on that list alongside such greats, bloke’s the biggest fur coat and no knickers player to ever grace the game.

You can’t deny his talent though.

Enzo sits a bit on the fence. His skillset is excellent, he seems to be always available but there is that little feeling Premier League is not the best league for him due to the up and down quality of it. His lack of pace really stands out in the games.

In Chamoions League and many other domestic league he will produce a ton of goals and assists.

What I appreciate of him is his personality. We need heads like his much more in the team.

He is my favorite player in the team alongside Moi and Reece but I would think about the sell if we get what we paid for even if it pains me to say it.

If Lavia wasn't made of glass this would be much easier.

I would love him to stay naturally but deep down I feel he is probably not the best solution for us.

Agree on all of this, except he's not one of my favorites. He's good, but this just isn't the league or team for him. We also overpaid. This might be one of the few chances to get a good chunk of our money back, and I'd be interested in seeing Santos. But that's a little iffy to go into a season with Moi, Lavia, Santos and... KDH?

Don't forget Maresca has said he considers RJ a midfielder.

We were linked with Anguissa. Zambio Anguissa if I spelt it right. Midfielder at Napoli, jack of all trades. 29 years old.

It genuinely would be really nice to have an experienced midfielder lol

Remember him at fulham....fast but rubbish. Think Adama Traore, but worse at everything.

I am... more skeptical. But true, and I did think about putting in that midfielder category, but if Lavia and RJ were two of our four midfielders, pretty good chance some of their injury spells overlap. Much as I'd love for both of them to get in a full season of 30+ games (let alone 40+ with cups etc).

This season Enzo's improved and was one of our key players but he's still nowhere near worth his transfer fee. He's basically a poor man's Fabregas but because our standards and expectations have fallen so low over the last few years he's somehow deemed irreplacable.

But not to worry, no club in their right mind will offer anything close to what we paid for him, so it's most likely just a BS rumour that'll be forgotten and replaced by another transfer rumour before long.

Yamal has been nurtured by Barca for decades to walk into their team.

Brother he is has not even been alive for two decades yet!

In all seriousness - Rodrygo would be a great mentor for Estevao. Came to Europe as a razzle-dazzle winger but when he needed to, he grafted. Off the bench, starting, doesn't matter. Second hardest-working player in that squad after Federico Valverde and it shows, and has a real big-game, big-moment mentality that don't really have in the squad.

With Modric now leaving Real, you'd think this would step their efforts in revamping their midfield.

Tchouameni, Camavinga, and Valverde are all very good players, but with Kroos's absence you could see they had issues with controlling games. This will be all the more so with Modric now leaving and their #1 target in Zubamendi going to Arsenal.

Enzo would fair way better in a deeper role in Spain vs in the Premier League.

Who'd you prefer getting back for Enzo? Rodrygo, Tchouameni or Camavinga (injured so could be available for way cheaper, another Lavia situation)? I'd like to think Valverde would be brilliant in the PL, but he's likely not for sale.

Rodrygo.

There was a report from Sky today that we aren't going to be signing any "big names" this summer. We essentially have 2 cup finals coming up, and we are getting news we aren't changing our transfer strategy. In MAY. I look at our squad and I reckon we need 2-3 major signings to compete (Gyokeres, Rodrygo, Murillo/Guehi) but again, the sporting directors don't want to do that.

The fact people are still buying merchandise from these owners boggles my mind. Our future is an endless loop of battling for a European place with winning no major silverware.

Rodrygo wouldn't leave Madrid to join us anyway so that's a pipe dream.

Lost count of how many times this has been said over the past decade and we still managed to pull players. The name Chelsea itself will always have lure.

Champions League qualification and a genuine attempt to actually pay certain experienced players their worth will give anyone an incentive to join. All it takes is this ownership changing their transfer strategy.

I don't mean players of Rodrygo's quality, I mean Rodrygo himself. Why would he leave Madrid for us, it's usually the other way around.

If the rumors of him wanting to leave are true, which reports in both Spain and Brazil is yes.

Normally I would go for Camavinga, he is incredible and so versatile. He’d be a key player for any team in the world.

But looking at our squad, yes Rodrygo is the one we need the most.

We have Estevao coming in, Rodrygo only has 6 goals and 5 assists this season, the fact that he plays for Real Madrid is making him look better than he is imo

Camavinga is an incredible player, if there's even a chance he'd come we should go all out for him

He would fair way better in a deeper role but he doesn't want to play there. He wants to be a #8/#10, even though he really doesn't have the physical attributes for it.

So many games just pass him by, no amount of goals can cover up his limitations on the pitch

In particular the games where we cant afford to play with ten men. It is like Jorginho again. With time and space they can be effective. When we are under pressure they disappear and cant cope.
