May 17, 20251 yr Also, offside or no, zero excuses for missing the goal on the Palmer follow up.that was sh*t
May 17, 20251 yr Praying someone bids £70m for him in the summer. How about Arse or Man u - they seem to buy our deadwood? He's not a "6", an "8" or a "10". No idea what he is but get taking up a space in the starting eleven.
May 17, 20251 yr I will die on the hill that we will be a better team without him. I don't think Enzo is a bad player and i'm sure he'll have a great career at Madrid living that lifestyle but his pros don't outweigh his cons. Lavia, Caicedo and probably Santos all seem to be better rounded midfielders.
May 17, 20251 yr Well I don't disagree that he doesn't fit this team, my only disagreement is when people say he's not a good player. I still think he's had a good season overall though, maybe once he gets more use to this role he's playing he can become more consistent.

In the premier league he's a 40m player that we have to continue to play and sacrifice better players for because of his price tag though. I think its better for all parties to move along.

That said if a deal comes along when you he goes to Real Madrid for us getting Rodrygo, I'd be right up for that tbh
May 17, 20251 yr Fiery bugger isn’t he. You see that clip of him and Mount going at it last night? Carried on from last season. Obviously don’t like each other.

He's a square peg in a round hole, the hole being a suitable position relative to the league. He's technically suited to playing deep but horrible defensively and in transition. He also doesn't have the dynamism and control need to play as a 10. Trade for a top winger or some like Julian Alvarez would be the best solution.

May 18, 20251 yr Controversial but I like him.. when he is on it he can make football look sublime.. last few games he has looked tired .. he is certainly a first team player .. ma not be key and starting every game but should be involved .. A midfield of Caicedo Lavia Santos Enzo is what we need .

May 18, 20251 yr Clearly a good footballer but is he the right person for this team or even our league?Sometimes he look like he can't be bothered and can start games really slowly. It will seem an odd thing to bring up but I noticed when he blazed over from 5 yards on Friday there was no emotion or embarrassment (I realize it was offside BTW).He can be similar with stray passes as well, sometimes there's a lack of desire to rectify the situation. When he's on his game he's a good player but when he's not it's having a player with fitness issues and a lazy attitude.

The general gist seems to have been that he turned down a long term contract, negotiations then stalled, and the board offered him the 1 year one, as a makeshift offer, in order to kick the long term negotiations down the road for another year.
May 18, 20251 yr Enzo is another foreign player who is not naturally athletically or physically gifted. He isn't fast. He isn't powerful. But play him with a genuine centre-forward ahead of him, one who knows how and when to move. One who can finish consistently. He will look a totally different player. He passes the ball better than any player in our team, with either foot.

Mason waited on a new deal for ages and then wasn’t played to be offered a year to make them ££££, while people just walking into the club were offered long deals, the disrespect is insane from these clowns! They knew exactly what they were doing!Did Mason agree to jump ship to a rival (albeit out of London), we’ll find out one day when his NDA is up! I know I’d be packing my suitcase if that’s how they treat you!

I know I’d be packing my suitcase if that’s how they treat you!It was widely reported that the club had agreed a deal with Mase before Xmas with both parties ready to sign then the owners went back on it and offered him significantly less money. Terry himself has come out and said Mase was Chelsea through and through and there’s another untold side to the story that we don’t know, insinuating towards ownership. With Mount’s form the deal worked out well for us but you have to be blind or stupid not to realise he was forced out by the owners for a quick buck to balance the books. No different from Gallagher, no different from what they tried with Chalobah. Let’s see who’s next.
