Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!

Jesus, let's not wax lyrical about a cross into a goalkeeping error, otherwise anyone playing against Robert Sanchez has the right to be the next Kevin De Bruyne.

His performance proves what he player he can be, but he rarely shows this level of enthusiasm and movement at Chelsea or in the Premier League and certainly never for a full game because he can't sustain that energy at club level.

Fernandez's best comparison is Billy Gilmour, living off a game vs Liverpool in distant memory.

That's what Argentina do so well... force mistakes, the deep player makes the run, Enzo saw him right away, the GK was held on his line, until he saw too late that the runner was behind. We need our players to catch up to that. Palmer is good off the ball, Neto is decent off the ball. Sancho and Madueke never have creative runs. Jackson's only good runs off the ball are in behind the defence away from the box. I like Guiu's in the box movement, but he still lack in other areas. I mean our fans that complain about watching our football, also complain about Enzo, yet he's clearly a huge piece of IMO the most fun national side to watch right now.

Here's exactly what I mean about the board terribly underrating the guy:

Enzo can't play like that in a team of Noni's and Jackson's. Now if Chelsea sign Julián Alvarez and Lautaro Martínez we can start talking about Enzo living up to the hype.

Enzo is probably our best OVERALL player.

We didn't have a fast attacking tempo under poch. Nowhere near it.

It was pretty much the same stagnant and sideways football we have seen under enzo, and under the last few managers.

Go and watch Chelsea vs Forest from the tail end of last season for a snapshot of Pochball at chelsea.

It definitely had it's moment though, which is where the term Chaos Ball came from. We would suddenly have a spark in us and let loose. You never knew if it would result in us conceding a bunch of goals or scoring a bunch ourselves, but it was certainly different from insomnia curing football we play under Maresca.

Us Brits have always been a bit unfair about American's sense of humour.

Scott is to be credited for proving us wrong!

There is a good player there for definite. Some say he can’t handle the pace of the PL but I’m back on the fence. He’s been one of the few players who have shown up recently.

Another of the many players in our squad who would really benefit a change in our system

One of the few players showing that he wants to be here every week and he gets scapegoated because he isn't Conor Gallagher

It takes a mighty advanced thinker to recognized our subtle brand of frivolity. Wisdom beyond your years chum.

Scapegoated? Oh stop it you victim. Weird that Caicedo doesn't get scapegoated too.

Playing the victim for another man that doesn't know you exist might be even worse.

Why are you getting so wound up about it? I think he's unfairly criticised and gets scapegoated a lot for tactical failings by managers.

Also, none of these players know who we are so why should any of us have opinions on them by your logic. Chill out and stop being dramatic.

His improvement in physicality and speed is quite noticeable from when he first joined.

It's actually really odd that it's now of all times that he is getting called out when he's been one of our best players since the start of the year.
