The same bloke who can't even get a game at Forest is going to come here and give Enzo the cover he needs? Yeah that'll do wonders for Caicedo's confidence won't it.

Bloody hell Gol...

We can't go wrong with Santos, Caicedo is walking the thin line of almost being a 115m flop so far and if he can't handle another midfielder there in order to not lose his confidence then I don't know what to say...

Santos though? Alex Matos looks more ready than he does.

No too soon. I am just saying Enzo won't wait here for year after year of midtable finishes. He will give us time now but in 2026 or if we keep finishing around 10th I don't see him wasting his career around midtable.

Nor do I.

And given Silva's going at the end of the season, he's beginning to look like the only sensible choice for Captain going forward.

He's a young player that just came a new club, country, continent and then he was loaned out for no reason, give him a chance he is a real talent.

How can you say we can't go wrong with Santos when he can't even get a game at Forest? Santos looked like a weird signing from day one. Caicedo needs to do better, but bringing Santos back to replace him would be stupid. We still have Lavia to return yet.

Agreed. I liked the look of Santos in pre-season but he doesn't look ready yet. His confidence will be low after this loan too. Ideally he will get another, more successful loan in the second half of the season. But with Lavia close to being ready, I don't see Santos in our starting line up any time soon.

Right but to immediately be Enzo’s replacement?

To play with him, Enzo needs help.

Cause he's still young and needs someone to help him out. Remember we used to have a home grown kid like that, played well but got sent on loan for no reason and never came back, now Gilmour is playing for Brighton and playing well.

I wish Lavia could play honestly we need him ASAP.

That would be Lavia’s duty.

Lesly has 2 full seasons in Ligue 1 and is still coming to terms with the Premier League. Asking Santos to be depth for Enzo when he’s coming from the Brazilian 2nd division is a big ask.

I hope Lavia is coming back soon then.

Several news sites today report that Enzo's shushing gesture was aimed at Chelsea fans, that have been critical of him?

I saw it , but was it really aimed at our fans ?

Nah probably the vocal Brighton fans who felt like booing Caicedo and Sanchez constantly.

That was my thought at the time.

The sh*t stirring sh*t they write about us.

Those sites have to get their clicks, one of the best things I have done is completely block anything to do with football up to about 5 minutes before our matches start and as soon as our match finishes only place you find me is here and that’s it for a few hours. Outside of that no football news or socials it’s toxic and the older I get the more I realise I don’t need it.

I'm approaching things similarly, albeit I do also read some of the "official" content that the club put out via their app or on the web site. But everything else is now a hard pass.

Game passed him by and he got overrun which happens semi regularly which is concerning.

It’s Even more concerning that his partner is another 100mil plus player and looked considerably worse than him.

All I saw him do was foul people. Couldn't create anything, I don't even recall him getting forward much if at all. You could have put in an academy player there today and you wouldn't have noticed any difference. Very poor performance.

Isn't it funny that we moved on from Jorginho to move on from his obvious weaknesses like the very limited amounts of goals, no assists, vulnerable in transition, gets bullied physically to Enzo who struggles with: EXACTLY THE SAME!!

We had a system back then, Enzo simply demanded with his dad that he should be playing higher up the pitch cause he wants to score goals and that was it. When he came as a direct replacement for Jorginho he could control games better. Now he has Caicedo looking clueless behind him because he wants the ball, the space and the freedom to do whatever he wants but that results in no real system and no real stability.

I still think Enzo deserves some level of freedom in the way he roams, but I agree with you on Caicedo. He really isn't a natural DM in the sense Lesly is. He's a box to box.

I'm not sure any level of coaching can turn players into what they aren't.
