However they don't know how fickle the governing bodies can be. We are not doing things by the Spirit of The FFP. This sort of behavior is finding loopholes and using them with massive forces of money. This is usually a sign for the governing bodies to once again finetune their rules so big money players like us can't bend and twist the market. I don't think we are breaking any laws, we are just choosing not to go with the spirit of the FFP ruling. The spirit of FFP is nonsense. It has always been flawed and is a failed policy. I hope we know what we're doing but let's be honest and say we have been caught out and banned for things others get away with, when we thought we were okay before. I suspect we'll be doing a bit of selling in the summer though.

February 1, 20233 yr People should take into account that there will be a lot of players sold from this summer onwards. Our squad is massive and it's been suggested we are fully prepared to sell our valuable academy-lads to fund this rebuild for example. It could very well be that Gallagher and Chalobah are sold in the summer for example. Also some academy products who were considered big talents only last season either were sold in January or will be sold in the summer. Soonsup-Bell sold to Tottenham, Simons is about to be sold, Webster is likely going etc. Edited February 1, 20233 yr by OriginalS
February 1, 20233 yr I fully expect Enzo to struggle big time to handle the physicallity and the speed of PL early.

Players coming from Portugal to the Premier League usually handle that side of the game pretty well. Also, Fernandez is really physical player, so I would like to think that this part of the game won't be an issue for him.

February 1, 20233 yr Yeah I don't see him struggling with the physical side given he is a physical player anyway

For example a lot of our new players won't be able to play in the Champs League since we don't have many spots available. We might be able to drop a player or 2 from the existing Champions League squad but that has to be managed carefully as it would indicate to the player they are surplus to requirements. I would think that Ziyech will be dropped from Champs League squad since we already tried to offload him.

If he comes in the summer with pre season on his belt, I will be more confident but new country , new system, new league, I am worried.

He's one of those that make the life of the manager easy.

Most players especially midfielder struggle in PL because they used to have more time on the ball. I watched bentacur for Spurs, although he has done very well, you can really tell he used to play in a league where he has more time. In term of Bruno, player who come from Ligue one usually adapt to PL very well. The list is endless. Edited February 1, 20233 yr by Bob stark

FFP was brought in by the European elite clubs to keep them at the top and stop upstarts like us gaining entry, it was never about saving clubs from themselves.

He was a beast, physical game was his bread n butter. It is similar to casemiro. Usually player who come from Spain need time to adapt but not for casemiro, it is like another day in the office.
