Ok...those 2 additions to VAR are brilliant.

The semi-auto offside and the chipped ball are making VAR calls soo much quicker.

I've watched every game and the offsides are decided straight away. But I've yet to see any TV images of the offside?

Yes he sort of stubbed his toe into the ground and dived - there was minimal contact before that - I was surprised VAR didn’t pick that up but there you go, mattered little in the end

Karma, haha

Yesterday, during the match. It was one or 2 images but just for a second before they went back to the game. They haven't got time to show it...but I definitely saw something when that useless American ref expert was yapping.

We just get the champions league style computer generated image so they can move the players about to their liking.

You only get to see what they want is exactly why there’s less controversy in Europe compared to the Premier League.

This has not been a great Milan interview for Broja. Broja has basically done what he does, which is nothing. This guy has height, strength, pace. I can't believe that he is so consistently ineffectual.  I'm astonished that he keeps getting talked up about a move. He literally has zero effect in any game.

He was a good prospect something has obviously gone wrong for him perhaps self esteem issues added to his injury complications, a shame.

It depends. If the ref feels that the player is trying to win the ball, it's a yellow card, even if he is the last man and an open goal. If it's a deliberate foul and he's the last man, it's a red card.

Spot on.

Croatia looked like a team relying on an ageing squad one tournament too far, just looked a step off the pair of the game.

Spain looked decent going forward but very shakey defensively, they can be got at very easily.

Italy are boring as ever, just awful to watch.

Only seems to be a red when you foul as the last defender 40 yards from goal but fouling from 10 yards out denying an open goal is apparently ok…

Isn't it down to.the double jeopardy rule brought in a few years ago, or was that just for keepers?

Chiesa is an excellent player. I think he would be great in the Premier League.

He has always been Italy's best chance of a goal. Sadly he's made of glass with knee and muscle issues.

To be fair, he had zero service, isolated up front, chasing the occasional Albanian hoof-ball forward.

Semi-auto offside is coming to the PL but only from the second half of next season. For some reason.

Agreed. The service was awful. He drew a few fouls and his pace did look threatening but after the first goal, Albania barely created anything until the dire moments of the game. I think most strikers would struggle in Broja's position yesterday.

I thought that rule only applied to keepers, I don't know any more TBH, EPL matches are refereed differently to Champions League and Internationals so it's a recipe for inconsistency.

No, it applies to all defenders.

For me it beats what we have in the EPL ATM. I think people will prefer it.
