The ironic thing is we're now playing the chaos ball fans were moaning at Sarri and Tuchel for not doing.

Hmm 73%, created little, concede little. 😂😂😂

What is the  different between this and TT ball?

So many people think tactic is just magic. The biggest changes that we had with the same squad was when we switched from lamp to TT

It is from this

Pulisic - Timo - Ziyech

Mount - Kai

Kante

Chilwell - Zouma - Silva - James

To

Mount - Kai - Timo

Chilwell - jorgi - Kante - James

Rudi - Silva - Azpi

It is a completely different team. Tuchel took two attacking player and replaced them with  two defensive player.

We could still score (not great) because Chilwell and James are amazing at both end of the field. The moment both went down, the whole system collapse. Scoring changed from difficult to almost impossible.

The hard part right now with this injuries is that there is no option. We played the player that is available. Once again like last gamr the only option is Maatsen and that is it.

Not certain James & Chilwell would ever be able to replicate that form again even if they were fit.

James and Chilwell are finished. Shame but the sooner we move on the better.

Aussie journos love interviewing Ang Postecoglou just now. What I think he gets that Poch does not is philosophy of how to play the game.

This on their recent losing streak:

"

I’ve been through this many times, so I know unequivocally what we need to do. But for a lot of these guys it’s the first time, and I’m always mindful of that wherever I’ve been.

“That’s why I know that, invariably … sometimes it’s happened at the beginning of my tenure, sometimes it’s happened in the middle, sometimes at the end of a first season. But always in that first season there’s challenges, and players need to go through that and come out the other side, and see ‘OK, we’ve survived that, it hasn’t killed us, we’re still going, and if anything it can make us stronger going forward’.

“But I have the benefit of that experience, my players don’t. My role is to guide them through that. I know how we get through this, and I know what the road forward looks like. But they’ve got to go through it themselves, and find out about themselves. Do they want to be a part of this?

“Because it’s not going to get any easier. That’s the one thing I keep telling them. There’s never going to be a time when it’s going to be smooth, not while I’m at the club."

The one thing Poch must do is to discipline the midfield.

Enzo must stay back in order to control our gameplay and Caicedo must be allowed to roam more in order to hunt down the ball.

If Poch can make that work, he'll keep his job. This squad hangs on those two players, they make or break the team so if they aren't cohesive we won't win matches it's that simple. You can't build the team from the back, this won't give us control nor stability.

This is exactly what football at the highest level is all about, Enzo could play more forward but should he be doing it? It's about the role of the player.

Does Enzo create enough end product by being more forward - no.
Does Enzo press better while being more forward - no.
Does Enzo create a partnership with anyone else while being more forward - no.

So with or without the ball his current role doesn't offer us any real advantage.

But it's hurting us because Caicedo gets marked out of the game and the ball needs to be passed backwards and then the backline is pressed. Also when we lose possession, Enzo is often out of position and arriving late to defend.

You can't have your 2 key signings of 100m each, play like they are garbage, you will lose your job for that sooner or later.

Explaining what we already can see. Nothing new all around the team.

When I watch other teams, I clearly can see a plan. It doesn't matter if they win or lose, but you can see how the team is playing and each players knows what to do during the possession, during the transition. Even Luton has a better progress than us as a team.

Brighton makes a big rotation and they're losing games, but you can see the every player that comes into the game or starting the game he knows his position very well.

A team needs a clear plan and build around the plans backup situations to give a solution when something doesn't work. As I see this, we don't have a clear plan of the game and we don't have backup idea to fix the game.

These injuries are f**king annoying, do we even follow the intensitiy instructions in the training plan ?

The players are looking like they don't care, there is no spirit in the team. They should be ashamed after the losses because we're playing sh*t.

I very hope the situation will change for a positive way, but to make this happen a work must be done. Park the bus for the 90 minutes, just don't lose. We need confidence and points, play on counter attacks and create a winning mentality step by step.

🤣🤣 Have you seen the negativity around the back 5 if Poch goes to park the bus the fans will boo him out. For the record I definitely think we need to go back to the 5 for extra defensive cover but this board or te match going fans who accept that

Complete 180 to what he was saying in Pre-Season.

This is the same bloke that was was bigging up the club back in August on how we are Chelsea Football Club and anything other than challenging for the League/Top 4 isn't acceptable. Now mid table is our reality. No European football distractions, sometimes going 8 days without a match, and we are seeing every excuse under the sun for the lack of preparation and improvement we continue to see. Even Gallagher of all people now looks like he couldn't be arsed.

Nothing describes Poch's management more perfectly than him completely losing his sh*t the moment Nkunku got injured. Almost poetic. His tactics when under pressure has always been questionable and lord and behold it will likely be his demise.

For Someone Like Poch Who Has Managed Some Good Sides, He Can't Be So Blinkered And Just Have 1 Identity For The Team To Play And As Soon As 1 Player Gets Injured That's His Whole Dynamic Gone To Shreds, If That's The Case Then f**king He's A Piss Poor Manager

Not that I am spruiking Postecoglou but at least in this game it was clever and ballsy moving Kulusevski to 10 to make  room for Johnson to start. Mudryck is no Son but Palmer could do Kulusevski's job and Sterling is much better than Johnson. I have never seen Kulusevski anywhere but wide right previously.

Moving kulu from right to 10 is like moving Palmer from right to 10.

What Poch said after the game will not impress the boss, but glad he said it, what's there to lose? It's a valid proof Poch didn't have much say in the summer transfers. Saying this like a broken record, we signed players with youth and potentials, and EPL is not the place to play with potentials only. If we can't afford to sign proven players next month, accept the reality and let's try to make use of what we got. But for god sake not another 100M spent on a few wonder kids we never heard of.

He said he was surprised that Palmer is actually quite good 😂😂😂

I don't think he has ever seen Palmer play before

Stewart and Winstanley lead the scouting but Poch has a say.

Absolutely no faith in this working out at all.

Midfielder, We've Got About 400 Of Them, Granted Not Exactly That Great Of Ones But Still 400

If He Wants A LB, Sell One Or 2 Of The 5 We Got Then

Also Might As Well Send Washington On Loan, Ain't Seen Anything Of Me, Probably Could Loan Out Broja And Jackson Too

Need at least 3-4 outgoings on top of this.

How. The remaining jewels (even these are tarnished recently)  are the only ones likely to be movable. Chalobah, Maatsen, Gallagher, James  Colwill. These are all FFP free hits and it wouldn't surprise if some or all of these have to go to fund the types of players Poch wants.

It kind of feels that we really are heading towards last chance saloon as most of our players are all locked in.

Maatsen and Chalobah are 95% gone in January I reckon.

There's Malang Sarr and likely Cucurella if we continue pushing for his exit.

Poch apparently didn’t want Palmer who has been our best player this season hope the sporting directors take full control of the transfers

Honestly his talk of the market and begging for height has soured my opinion of him.

We're going to be set back even further if we give in to his desires next month, gulp.

Didn’t he say in the summer that he can make the squad he has work? Now he needs 3 players

Half of that squad is currently injured to be fair.

We've won more headers than City, Newcastle, Tottenham and the same amount as United.

Honestly I'd listen to Poch if we were actually conceding goals by losing aerial battles vs leaving runners wide open.

I don’t disagree with that just the way he phrased it makes it look like he is looking to buy players to fix problems which is fine if that comes out of the lips of a fan but never a good look if it comes from a manager
