December 10, 20232 yr I’m starting to worry the owners will panic and sack him now. What the hell happened to us after the morale boosters vs Spurs and City?!
December 10, 20232 yr Sacking him won't make a difference, but two losses in a row is only going to mount the pressure from the fans and the board. Needs to fix things quickly or hope one of the injured players coming back bails the team out of the sh*t we are in.
December 10, 20232 yr Poch has made a lot of mistake but the biggest issue at the club is not him but the ownership As long as Todd Boehly and co still make awful decisions in transfer market this team wont go anywhere we need PROVEN, DEVELOPED players with EXPERIENCE so they wont panic whenever things start to go bad, now we are bunch of kids who had talent but cant deal with any pressure

December 10, 20232 yr Ownership are majority to blame but let’s be honest Poch hasn’t done himself any favors with his management. Wayward tactics, poor defensive organization and far too many gaps between midfield and attack. He should be doing far better. If we head into the January market scouting the same profile of players then we truly are doo ed.

He looks lost out there. He's throwing everything to see if something stick and nothing is working. Imo, he's a dead man walking just looking at his body language. Let's see how long until the ownership pulls the trigger. Edited December 10, 20232 yr by Ledgerson
December 10, 20232 yr There is no turning this around from here, Pochettino has already failed. If you can't change a single thing about the identity of the team in 6 months, then you have failed. Guardiola, Klopp, Mourinho, Howe, Arteta, even Sean f**king Dyche. These coaches come in and immediately you see a new identity, even if the results didn't come straight away. Pochettino has done nothing, he has no identity.
December 10, 20232 yr Doesn’t matter who the manager is, we are still stuck with these spineless players for another 8 years.

I'm not trying to defend Poch but the idea Arteta was showing signs from day one is such a massive myth. He sh*thoused a cup with Emery's players but for the first 18-24 months he was playing such boring, defensive football and still relying on the keepers to save him.

Yeah but it's a lot easier to change the manager than the players. And good luck with their 10 year contracts. lol
December 10, 20232 yr He's nearly lost me now. Colwill as a literal LB (can understand it if we were a back 3 in possesion with the RB inverting/overlapping) and Enzo playing further forward is criminal incompetence.

December 10, 20232 yr If Poch keeps forcing a 4-2-3-1 with out the outside backs to run it he should be sacked. We have plenty of experienced players, they're just all hurt. A good manager doesn't do everything, but the team needs to get better at something, what can we point at and say we do well. Under Mourinho, Conte, Sarri and Tuchel - All of those managers we did something well, and rather immediately. Lampard, Potter and Pochettino, I can't say any phase of the game I see improvemnet. Starting to look like Poch relied on Harry Kane to make him look good.
December 10, 20232 yr We have to stick with him, but I bet questions are being asked. The players are not good enough, but it is bigger than that. The whole club culture is way off. We have no identity, and I've defended the owners strongly, but reality is they have no real understanding of football and it is showing. Top to bottom, side to side, the club is in freefall. Stats do not lie. Calendar year 2023 we are 16th, but you have to exclude teams 18-23 as they have all played less games due to relegation/promotion. We are on relegation form, and the sample is one season now. We win one in four games. It is appalling. It is embarrassing. The most inept Chelsea team, owners thru players, I have seen in 40 years.

December 10, 20232 yr Thing is, Nagelsmann looks like a mistake for the national team and Enrique has been shocking at PSG. The managerial candidacy at the time wasn’t the greatest.

I think Scott's point is that even thought arteta was sh*t when he came, there was a clear identity he wanted the team to play. Our last three managers including Poch have struggle to show the fans what identity they are bringing to the team.

Tottenham won't have a group of players as good as that for decades. They should have competed for trophies every single season.

December 10, 20232 yr For the record I don’t believe the owners will sack him, he will get at least till the end of this season and I think that’s fair enough.
