Look at this or the Liverpool game thread. Evidence is there.

There are lots of signs of Chelsea being a bit better. Last 10 games for example.

It is so tiring repeating all the reasons why we are not even close of Liverpool level. Not going to repeat them.

I understand people are frustrated. We used to be more fun when we won. Yes, I agree.

I'm looking at both threads and don't see a single post saying anything like what you said.

I'm seeing us pick up the odd result here and there, but the performances are awful. We're basically getting by on winning a few more penalties this season compared to others. The performances haven't changed a bit.

First of all we have sack Poch messages all over. People are saying we are sh*te.

Going into Liverpool game people were optimistic and almost felt we are facing someone not being on top of the pile. They have been relentless and we saw that first hand. They naturally have something extra because it is Chelsea. On top of that Klopp's news gave them galvanizing effect. Losing to that is not that surprising and certainly not because we are sh*te and Pochettino is the worst manager.

We are just so far away from their level. I am optimistic we will be close in a couple of years under Pochettino. Our young lads (who form the core) need to be 25-26 years to compete on top. It would be so much satisfying to keep on developing and grinding and to finally win something together instead of changing managers like underwear.

So how have you twisted that into "everyone expected us to wipe floor with Liverpool and to be back at our best....for some reason. We win a couple of games and everyone expects us to be 2004 Chelsea. " ?

Who you getting then?

No idea, but we hear this everytime about no one being interested, yet there is, everytime.

I vouched for this guy. All summer. Felt he was tailor made for our squad given his reputation.

I expected so much more which is why I am so annoyed/disappointed.

From 20 year old boys? 10-12 injuries along with it...

I gave the same kneejerk sh*t those messages contained.

Enzo and Caicedo were injured all season to were they? Gallagher? Palmer? Why do they still look like they don't even know each other.

Silva, James, Chilwell, Sterling, and Disasi 20 year olds? Why have they been just as sh*t as the kids?

And that's usually BS.

Not this time. It's why if you plucked a name out it would be either a sh*t one or someone that would laugh at us.

No one is asking for him to be sacked because we lost away to Liverpool, its all the results mixed in with all the way weve played in games. Theres nothing to give me any optimism he knows what hes doing, hes constantly playing players out of position, now thats ok if it works...but it doesnt. We have no style or tactic as far as I can see, our marking at set pieces is utterly abysmal and non sensical. No player progress at all (regression in most cases). His game management is worrying, rarely do his subs have a positive impact or seem to fix any problems, hes just so lethargic and accepting on the sidelines and in interviews. Its just all so negative.

Drop the mic moment. This is absolutely bang on. Unfortunately I could only give this one thumbs up.

Yeah, we're not going to have any manager if we sack poch...

He came second with 97 and 92 points respectively

In any other era, that would be 3 league titles, City have just been that dominant.

We'd have turned the PL into the Bundesliga in the 00s had it not been for Fergie.

Should, woulda, coulda.

And to add on to the other side of the coin, Winstanley and Stewart need to go as well. Poch may be an average manager, but its clear as day our scouts are just as average. Either get rid or limit their responsibilities to offloading players.

The fact we are wanting to replace Thiago Silva with 20 year olds just leaves me to believe the club from top to bottom is so misaligned with reality.

If this Broja loan fee is true it is an illustration of how massively incompetent and smug these Winstanley and Stewart clowns really are. I am not saying that the Broja fee is even inaccurate now but the chronology to this point illustrates how woefully inept these morons are.

The sooner these two are thrown in the sh*tpan the better

We will have a manager that you'll want sacked after 4 months

So you can see into the future too, amazing.

You'd expect a player of Broja's quality to go for a couple of million he's got 3 goals and 0 assists in nearly 60 games and a serious injury in there somewhere he's sh*t and no one would want him.

The issue is us quoting £50m for such a Donkey to begin with makes us look inept when we've got from £50m to £2.50 in a few days.

Doesn't look like anyone at the club can value a player the only people who would pay big for such a struggling young player is actually us. Seems like we think everyone's worth big money then are surprised they aren't.

Look at the competition. Liverpool and City are settled sides with long term coaches. Any young lad you slot in has a fighting chance of making it. Supported by experienced players. We have absolutely nothing of that. Nothing. We keep changing managers and we just replaced the entire team. We will have the same thing after players like Enzo and Mudryk have actually played 100-200 games in Chelsea and in the Prem.

Arsenal from the competition has a similar side to ours in terms of age but even they have so much more Prem experience. Have they won anything? Not yet anyway.

I think at maximum with no injuries and everything going our way this season top 4 would have been achievable. We have been riddled with injuries...why do I even go on repeating this...same sh*t different day...

You are aware that you're the one claiming Poch will never improve our club.

Based on what I've seen, your basing that on absolutely nothing.

How long exactly does it take to have a settled side then?  7 months in, Caicedo and Enzo don't look settled and they have the most minutes together. The Silva and Disasi pairing doesn't look settled. Gallagher and Palmer still look like they are free flowing in midfield with zero instruction. Your injuries argument seriously has no weight. We had arguably our first XI at Old Trafford and we still saw the same pitiful performance almost identical to last night.

Sterling is now getting pocketed by a 20 year old and getting scored on by that same 20 year old. The midfield is being cut through like swiss cheese, there is zero cohesion in our build up play and when we do score a goal, we concede laterally just moments later.

Enough of the experience argument. Sterling is a multiple league winner. Silva has won trophies around the world. Chilwell and James are European Champions. Disasi has several seasons under his belt in Ligue 1 and is a full blow international. These players are littered with experience yet are just as sh*t as the inexperienced ones.

Is it so difficult for our scouts to identify the next 'Mourinho' or top manager in the same way Levy identified Ange?

You mean Jose before he joined Porto? Because Alonso is the current new Jose. And I don't see how he entertains us.

Ange is a decent bloke but I don't think he's going to have us doing much better than Poch is.

1. I genuinely don't believe this lot can appoint a manager any better than Eddie Howe.

2. I think if we get a manager like that, you'll be expecting us to be top 4 by December and playing great football.

3. I don't think that will happen with a new manager of that calibre.

So yes, I'd rather see if Poch can get our performances into a top 6 side by the end of the season and see how he does next year. Lots of managers do better in year 2. Especially when it's dealing with a crop of young players.

Every time before a manager is sacked  folk say “there is no one to replace him”. Every time a replacement is found. There are plenty of good managers out there both discovered and undiscovered. Xabi Alonso came from nowhere this season  inguel Munoz is a top manager who will manage a bigger club.

‘the players like Poch, apparently, but did the players like SAF? Again I could live with the results if the performances were there. I can also see that injuries have hurt the defence more than attack. Maybe we could have played a back three. But it is as clear as day that the team wasn’t ready for that press. Tuchel’s team had style, Sarri’s team had style, Conte;so team had style.

there is plenty of blame to go round. Not buying an alternative to Jackson, Chilwell having a shocker, but Poch has made things worse. He picked a defensive team but they didn’t play as a defensive unit. If you pick Caicedo, Enzo and Gallagher as your midfield 3 then have them play as a unit, hopefully like Ballack, essien and lampard, but any rate close together supporting your under pressure fullbacks and centre backs.

It’s dissapointing but no shame losing to this Liverpool side but important to take the  right learning from it. For me the learning is that Poch is the wrong manager.
