Dont matter if he is sacked or not. He is not good enough for what we want Chelsea to be, but will the club pick a good replacement for Poch if they sack him?

They replaced Tuchel with Potter, then Lamps, now Poch. They are not looking for winners as managers.

Who are the winners?

De Zerby, Jose "Crying Baby", Rafa  The fat waiter", Xavi "For first time coach", Zidane "The Jobless", Hans "Tiki-taka"

At multiple times this season I’ve felt as if he’s a game or 2 away from the sack, he’s always managed to string a positive result or 2 together but not sure how much longer it can continue for.

Tonight was pathetic and I’m not convinced much will change for the cup final.

All of you calling for his sacking will want the next manager gone after he can't work miracles within a couple of months.

Why?

This is an often used response with no real foundation. All the majority of Chelsea fans want at this point is some structure, some direction, some indication that there is a developing plan.

Not even too fussed about results, we appreciate that it is a transition. To quote Rory Jennings, i am jealous of Aston Villa, i am jealous of Tottenham, and yes i am jealous of Brighton. These are managers that have suffered pumpings when things have gone wrong. But there is an evident style, a structure and a vision that all can see. Then you have something to but into.

Looking at Poch's initial interviews upon arrival and where we are at this point, its cringingly embarrassing.

The only areas where i can see positivity, these seem to have fallen in his lap. Petrovic, Palmer and Gusto are about the only bright points this season. Two are only playing through injuries to others and the other one, the club weren't even interested in getting.

Its shambolic, we are truly in a mess.

And we'll keep saying the next manager isn't good enough.

No manager is going to come here and get this lot clicking instantly.

Instantly no, I'd accept a bit of inconsistency with Poch if we were in the running for champions league, it's progress, but what progress has Poch given us in 6/7 months? Toss all, he was brought in to improve our young players but all I've seen is regression and no direction. I've said it before, a competent manager would have had this team challenging for top 4 this season due to most of the teams above us being dodgy as well.

Top 4? You must be having a f**king giraffe surely.

No wonder you rate Mudryk.

Sack him, he’s had long enough to make his impact. You can’t tell me half a season and whole summer isn’t long enough to implement his footballing style, regardless of how bad the injuries are.

He’s clearly not going to improve the team much more, why waste our time with him? I’m starting to wish we stuck with Potter.

So you're saying a better manager wouldn't have won us an extra 8/9 points minimum this season? Games where we've lost to Brentford, Forest, Wolves and Everton, dropped points to Arsenal from 2-0 up and drawn 0-0 against Bournemouth. If we had, then we would be in with a shout of top 4 you f**king idiot.

People were saying that about Lampard in January 2021, 4 months before Tuchel dragged us back into the top 4 and won the Champions League.

Changing the manager has not improved the results. Neither has changing the players.

Unless the grass is too long or the balls underinflated the problem must surely lie with

Boehly & co.

I wouldnt sack Poch, its irrelevant to do so.

The majority of the sub thought we would finish in the top 4 this year on the pre-season forum.

Given that we didn't have European football unlike our rivals, the hundreds of millions we spent this season on top of last season, and the fact that we had a manager that was supposed to be better than Potter (who also had a full pre-season), I don't think it was that unrealistic an expectation.

Guy's been dealt a sow's ear of a hand and yet some on here seem to expect him to conjure up two silk purses, let alone the proverbial one ...

At least after tonight we can all now see why he's been going with Colwill at left back ahead of Chilwell ... :-)

Bradley made our team and subs to be like clowns. Why? Because Klopp for almost 9 years and despite of differences with their owners had some direction with developing the club/

With our owners what we have? MESS on all levels, removing everything, buying players in American style where coaches are nothing. "I bought you a bunch of players, deal with them

Will be no difference with replacing Poch with someone else at this point with that mind set of our owners.

I don't see the point in sacking Poch now (nobody will join us mid season), but I'd be very surprised if he was still in a job by next summer

To be honest I can see him being manager next season. His reps will blag that he needs the squad fully fit with a top striker and he'll get some time. Unfortunately I think this is a bad mistake, on the field the tactics are just all over the place, 7 months into the job I'm none the wiser as to what he wants to do other than piss around at the back, leave the midfield empty and try and win the ball back when we lose it.

With Klopp and Xavi moving on, our potential candidates be fighting for those jobs, we aren't going to be left with many ( if 2 ) good candidates. Of course, sack him just because results suck it's more than valid, but realistically what we do we expect to achieve? I think we will finish around 6 to 8, a cup be a huge bonus, wouldn't bet on it after today.

Maybe not but there are plenty of examples of managers who come in and do change things pretty quickly. The best example recently is Emery at Villa. Tuchel came in here and changed things around quickly.

No matter what you think of the players there are strategies and tactics and selections that will get the most out of them. Personally I don't think Poch is getting the most out of what he has to work with. It's the gutlessness that is the most depressing. The team is picked to avoid losing.

Chilwell could be instructed to play more defensively in this game. But for sure he had a shocker. Chilwell never looked that bad at left back in his prior career either with us or at Leicester. Like every full back he'd get beaten occasionally but he was pretty well rated. Tuchel used him at wing back its true but that was the system.

Disappointed he didn't fire shots at the FA from what I'm hearing he just brushed it under the carpet and mentioned we weren't good enough. I'm sorry but, if we do not call out the injustice for what it is....blatant favouritism then nothing will change.

The league is corrupt, they do not want City to win mark my words, people are joking saying they will do everything to make sure Klopp leaves with another league title. I don't hink it is a joke. The integrity of the game has long been in question. The Barca game 15 years ago told us all we need to know. If you're not part of their script you are not winning the game.

Why have rules if you're not going to enforce them, I will eagerly await when referee have to explain their var decisions. However sadly I still don't think it will make the game any better we will only have an "explanation" as to why certain decisions were made and the rationales may be more vexing than the actual decisions.

I'm on the fence for Pochettino, injuries must be taken into consideration yes, but I still don't know what our style is. I feel he replies heavily on Palmer winning games for us or Aterling turning up every 3-4 games. This is not a viable game plan.

Edit: I don't think they will sack him so unless something major goes wrong he will imo see out his contract for the next 18 months.

Yes they should. But they won't be.

I've never seen such negligence in the workplace go unpunished. These men are stealing a living. Remember the other guy from RB Leipzig who helped bring Nkunku in and pushed for Nagelsmann as head coach alongside actual reputable players.

When he left I knew it was a big red flag as he seemed to actually know what he was doing.  Supposedly there was a feeling that there wasn't anything for him to do because these two clowns were in full control over player acquisitions. He was continuing clashing with them over the directon of the club etc.

I knew it at the time but surely retrospectively it's clear as day we backed the wrong horse(s). Christopher Vivell was his name just looked him up so he was out sporting director and we chose the two Brighton clowns to have full control. It really is a circus at this club. He was our TT of sports directors and we failed him like we failed our elite coach.
