I know twitter tacticos aren't always right but he's been pretty spot on about Poch from the start. The system is just poor.

Yeah our midfield is non existant. When trying to play out from the back, there are no options. And when we turn over possession, teams are immediately running at our defence, cos no-one is there. It's been happening all season, and this manager just keeps at it. He's an idiot.

6 wins against Luton, Fulham, Palace, Sheffield utd, spuds and Brighton. 4 of those wins at home, 1 was the spurs insanity, 1 was Luton away clinging on for dear life, only the Brighton game we played anything approaching well.

That is not the improvement you think it is.

It's results. Results we didn't get last season. 

And if it's not real improvement, then we will see it by the end of this season or into next.

Destruction derbyzerbi is one point above us with Chelsea's feeder club. Going to put my neck on a block and say we finish above his side this season. Should be an aim after spending 250 million on them. 

I just can't see who would come to us. Poch needs a fully fit squad. we also need to see him with a fully fit squad. But my concern is the stat from last night. We're one of the top sides for conceding goals in the last 15 mins of games. That is simply conditioning/ concentration/ fitness, delete where appropriate, which with a team of 20 somethings shouldn't really happen on the fitness front. It would also suggest the team doesnt know how to play after subs have been made.

Yes.

Makes no difference having all these injuries if this manager can't even setup 11 players to not get overrun in every area of the field, or pick players in the correct positions. He's shown enough incompetence that I have no faith it would be any different with a fully fit squad. Sure, results might improve a bit due to better players being available, but the key issues will remain.

He's a loser, just like anything that comes from Spuds. I was just hoping he'd be useful in developing young talent but maybe it was just a PR.

He came second with 97 and 92 points respectively

 

In any other era, that would be 3 league titles, City have just been that dominant.

He's had the midfield available all season and they still look f**king clueless, despite them arguably being the most talented area of our squad. 

Absolute dross this forum once again when everyone expected us to wipe floor with Liverpool and to be back at our best....for some reason. We win a couple of games and everyone expects us to be 2004 Chelsea.

Point me in the direction of a single post that said any of this? The most I see is people wanting us to show signs, any sign really, of turning into a cohesive team capable of competing. We haven't looked like a team in over a year now, just individuals. There is no pace to our game, we pass the ball around the back any chance we get, we play back to the CB's from attacking positions, the players never looked switched on or fired up. All of these issues are the same issues we had before. 

Oh mate, on the rare occasions where we finally bypassed Liverpool's press, only to then lose the ball almost immediately in the opposition half or move the ball backwards had me f**king fuming.

I can't remember who had it, but I remember it being on the left close to Liverpool's penalty area and instead of taking on the player or attempting a cross, it was just played back into midfield and then back to the CB's. What kind of football is this? it's been going on for years now. I would rather lose the ball by attempting a shot or a cross than see us constantly play it back to the CB's and allow the opposition to get back into shape.

What makes it worse is that I see no reaction from the players. If I was an attacker waiting for a pass and I saw it go all of the way back to the defence from an attacking position, I would be fuming. I could imagine how Costa would react if he saw this game after game, he would go mad.

Look at this or the Liverpool game thread. Evidence is there.

There are lots of signs of Chelsea being a bit better. Last 10 games for example. 

It is so tiring repeating all the reasons why we are not even close of Liverpool level. Not going to repeat them.

I understand people are frustrated. We used to be more fun when we won. Yes, I agree.
