September 21, 20241 yr Got to say for 32m he's probably one of our best value signings of the new era I've never understood the hate he got. Always seemed like people on here treated him like an 80m signing.

The striker position at Chelsea is just an easy place to criticize because no one has reached the heights of Costa (our last good striker) since he left.

I see him doing that often. When he adds end product it’s great (and we all know too often he can be offside or miss chances). Well played today Nico, was fun to watch. Still so much room for improvement also.

People treat him like he's the same as all of those flop strikers. The difference is he wasnt bought with a big reputation and price tag.

You can definitely see the difference in movement when Jackson was on the pitch and when Nukuku was on, makes sense Enzo keeps starting him.
September 21, 20241 yr Best game in a long time. Now he needs to do it again, which is something that has been lacking from him.

I personally see some of his critics as people that are irrational and silly, caveated with being mindful of everyone's right to their opinions but since Costa left no forward player has delivered near what he has for us and that is with him having less than half of the reputation they all came with. Sure he's not the best and we can have better, my argument has always been why do away with someone that in his developmental and growth stage is doing better than all the others that came before him, even with him costing a fraction of what they did. Why bin him? It's not like we are paying hefty wages on him anyway.
September 21, 20241 yr Put some respect on his name! Fantastic. Would of had 2 assists if Palmer converted that first half chance. Sensational performance
September 21, 20241 yr He’s a fantastic player, he offers so much for the team. I knew he had it in him, that second goal was a worldie finish, he’s got to keep doing it. I have faith he will eventually, I think next season is going to be massive.
September 21, 20241 yr He's done better than most, and I agree, he's legit been our best forward since Costa left. I completely understand the frustration, because Jackson is very frustrating. But if he's scoring double figures in the PL every season you can't complain too much can you? I'm sure he'll no doubt piss us all off again soon, but he's definitely handy to have I think. Young player, bargain, scores goals, he's a handy player.
September 21, 20241 yr Dreaded coming onto this thread - and as i feared, the media and blinkered are creaming over his performance and jumping to to all kinds of nonsense about "best value" this, and "quickest brace" that.... We should be under no illusions. He is - and remains - absolutely rubbish. I give credit for his 2 goals and assist today. You can only beat what's in front of you - and wacko was given - and took - the opportunity to run through on goal, and finished well both times. The 2nd in particular showed a composure that we had not seen to date. We saw composure again when making a good decision (for once) to play in palmer. So - round of applause for that. A brace and an assist is more than good enough to justify a motm award. but.....(you knew there would be one!) ...West ham were absolutely hopeless for the first 20mins." - they never got started and looked half asleep. Those types of gaping holes up the rear are generally unheard of (unless on a night out in newcastle). He is unlikely to be afforded the same space in the future unless playing part timers. So fair play - he and his fanboys can revel in the moment, and keep regurgitating the same nonsense about "non penalty goals" and any other dross that tries to convince that he is any thing other than a brain dead loser. The annoying thing is that this probably means yet another game when the actual forward we should be playing (nkunku) has to wait it out on the bench. Not to worry though - Nico will ahit the bed again soon, and Nkunku will eventually get a chance. Let's hope the performance today puts a few more millions into the coffers when we eventually sell him.

Jim, like you I am far from convinced by Jackson, but by continually calling him rubbish, you are making yourself look silly. Watched the game with a West Ham mate today and he was all doom & gloom and it's easy to see why. When Jackson scored 1 and then 2, I said to him you know your defence is bad when they make Jackson look good. But it was a bit tongue in cheek. He's not a TOP striker, but he did well today and that's all you can ask of him. Needs to build consistency into his game, as do a number of our players, but he is improving.

Silly or otherwise - I think he is rubbish - and a gaping west ham defence in the first 20mins doesn't change that. He doesn't deserve to be in the team. He doesn't get in any other 11 for any team in europe who have aspirations of challenging at the business end of the table. So - I will have to take it on the chin for tonight - it's a shame that 1 half decent performance against a gaping defence wipes the memories of so many

My missus likes him too Jim. She is considering going on "Only Fans" to get his attention. That will cure him once and for all.
