UB did you say that Nkunku will take minutes away from Estevao? Those prawn cocktail crisps might be playing tricks on your mind!🙂

I doubt if Nkunku would make the bench for some games.

If he's not going to make the bench, there's no point in keeping him!

Not going to post it on various different threads, but regardless of all the ITK bollox from online content creators, there is what 18 days left of this window. I reckon if we do not get trades over the line within the next week, i'll be surprised if any get completed in time.

Jackson, Nkunku, Chilwell, Disasi, DD Fofana, Carney, Veiga, George, Kellyman, All of these have had social media posts about ongoing discussions and rumours about moves recently. If we get to under 2 weeks to go and none of these have gone, realistically i can only see George getting completed, cos he's the cheapest and easiest, other than a couple of possible last minute loan deals (Carney, Veiga)

EDIT - This is a prime example. They have been chatting the same sh*t for a month now. They are all just baiting for clicks

Yes the speculation around sales has got very boring. This is partly because there are so many content creators but also because we have so many players to move on.

I'm happy with the squad we have right now and think, subject to there being no more serious injuries, we already have enough to challenge Liverpool. If Maresca can keep this momentum going we have a chance.

Jackson and Nkunku are the only players we can seriously hope to move on to generate cash but if we have to reintegrate them so be it. Just get rid of the others on loan, which is a terrible waste of talent and something I'd like to see the club eliminate from thier business model.

I think the key here with Jackson is whatever happens, wether we sell him or not, we should not under any circumstance reintegrate him into the squad, put him with the bomb squad and forget he exists.

The vibes have been so much more positive without having to worry about this braindead prentender ruining all our weekends.

What a great moniker.

If @Mod ever kills me off, i am definitely coming back as that. Braindead Pretender

I agree with the centiment but doing that would significantly reduce his value and we would never get rid of him. He's got another 7 or 8 years on his contract. I suspect the club can't continue to pay all these players to sit in the bomb squad.

I'm not surprised it's gone quiet re. Jackson and Nkunku. Everybody knows we're looking to offload them both, so the closer it gets to the end of the transfer window, the more other clubs will be able to "low ball" us on the transfer fees. We're reportedly holding out for some something silly (like 80 million? can't remember now) for Jackson and making out that we're not actively trying to sell him, but him not even being in the squad for the last two games indicates otherwise. It seems like there is a gulf between our asking price and the amount other clubs would be willing to pay, and if there's still no takers in two weeks from now, our asking price may have to drop.

It’s almost as if other clubs know he is not very good…. who would have thought it?!

It can also go the other way, as the transfer window closing date looms large clubs panic buy, we have 2 forwards we want to sell at a time when theres a real dearth of quality players (still is with Nkunku and Jackson I suppose). It could be worth holding out until clubs meet our valuation, rather than just take whats offered.

Right, it's obviously better to be patient if there's a chance to get the asking price later on, rather than dropping it now to "get it done" (although I'd be very happy just to see this thread closed). In Jackson's case, a lot hangs on the situation with Isak, I think. If Isak does join Liverpool, which seems most likely, then Newcastle will need to sign somebody to "replace" him. Obviously Jackson is not remotely close to the same caliber as Isak, but there are so few realistic options that would be available for Newcastle this summer, and I think Jackson could actually be a decent signing for them. They'll also easily be able to afford our inflated asking price, so it makes sense to hold firm and see how that plays out. I saw reports that there is "another Premier League club that no one has talked about who are quite keen on Jackson" (via Ben Jacobs), but that could well be bo**ocks intended to make potential suitors believe there is competition to sign him.

With Nkunku, there's said to be solid interest from Bayern and Leipzig (with Simons possibly coming the other way), so I don't think we'll have any trouble shifting him, but since he has clearly wanted to leave the club since January, the closer it gets to the end of the transfer window, the more circumstance will favour the buying club. Same with Garnacho and Utd...

It does look like everyone is waiting one one big striker move then there will be a flurry of sales as clubs move them around, for PSR reasons also, which is just another reason why its utter bo**ocks.

All our hopes hinge on Isak going to Liverpool. Newcastle will then have no further alternatives.

I do feel for the bar-codes. Just as they thought they were on the verge of something big with their first trophy in ages, they could now be replacing a top striker with Nicolas Jackson.

Think I'd be suicidal!

Probably fancies his chances of winning his place back after watching the lack of impact from Pedro and Delap today ... Troll_Face

More proof in the pudding that "anyone" is not necessarily better than Nico LOL

??? I thought Delap did well in the time he had.

My major worry from today is Chris Wood scoring twice for Forest. I fear a desperate Newcastle might start to fancy him ahead of Jackson. Like they have done with every other striker so far.

It is reported that subsequent to Newcastle's 0-0 draw today that they need " a focal point" in their attack.

Come on down you Geordies.

What, you think they'd then go for Jackson when all focal points have been exhausted

Rasmus Hojlund is gathering more interest than Wacko.

The same Hojlund who got 4 goals last season, has more concrete interest in him than our 10 goal striker.

Tape doesn’t lie, everyone bar our SD’s can see the blokes imitating a footballer.

Nicholas ‘Ali Dia’ Jackson has followed in his father’s footsteps.
