Every time there are new posts in this thread I’m always hoping it’s someone trying to sign him but no such luck!

Ever thought of stand up comedy?

What a performance!

His performances actually improved a lot in the latter part of last season. He has always been a good shot stopper, but he has now also been able to cut out most of the brainfart moments which made him infurating to watch.

He is still relatively young for a keeper and still to enter his prime. Maybe he is maturing.

Wouldn’t have thought I would be saying this back in January, but I want him to be given the chance as our main keeper next season. If he can keep this up, I am not sure there is a much better keeper available on the market.

His performances improved after Marescas touchline ban, in that match if the pressure was on he hoofed it. Since then maresca has lifted the ban on long clearances when necessary. He's always been a very good keeper, but with concentration issues, and flapping under pressure. Now knowing he can hoof it if needed, a lot of the pressure is off. without the pressure his concentration has improved. That touchline ban did more good for us, because it forced maresca to concede that "over control" doesn't fully suit the squad, and that they can be trusted to just go for it when the situation arises.

Very good performance. Amazing things can happen when he does not overcomplicate things and kicks the ball long rather than trying to be too clever. I guess that Maresca has also realised that Sanchez needs to kick the ball forward if we want to cut his brainfarts, because a few months ago he would have changed him for kicking the ball long.

Yes, and more importantly, accurately. Never his strongest suit but landed plenty perfectly last night.

Some of those long passes up our right side to Gusto/Palmer/Pedro reminded me of Cech and Courtois booting it up to Brana. Such a useful outlet and ended up leading to our first goal.

City's Ederson is the master. Fingers crossed Mr Sanchez keeps it up.

I'd rather he just kick it down the middle TBH.

The Final was absolutely his finest match for us and as much as I would like to upgrade the position credit must be given to Sanchez. If he can maintain that form I'll shut my big mouth. Fingers crossed.

One-off finals can produce performances that simply can';t be replicated throughout a season. Bosingwa was pretty immense in the CL final, but I couldn't want him at CB for 38 games. It's important not to get carried away by 1 game.

Don't rain on the big bald lad's parade, FFS.
