I’m assuming they are turning a blind eye on 2 very important metrics such as errors leading to attempts & his collection of crosses.

Feel like his collection of crosses is actually ok to be honest, but yes he’s incredibly error prone.

That report is just the kind of crap stat manipulation that no doubt is the meat and drink of the DOF mugs that signed 'Safe-Hands' Sanchez and continue to back him despite the one stat that counts - what we all see week in week out with our very own mince pies an error prone unreliable keeper that has got a goal for the opposition in him at all times

7 games left. That's all we need to endure, then Petro is back.

Sanchez being statistically the 6th best keeper shows exactly why the people that were claiming Petrovic was statistically one of the worst keepers in the Prem last season and we weren't better with him need to watch games. You know who you are.

Had some time to kill at work for a change so took an hour or so to watch back last years ‘highlights’ the difference in the side with Petrovic in goal (Arsenal game aside) was staggering, we absolutely transformed. I do wonder this year how much is down to the dreadful tactics and how much is down to the distrust every player must have in Sanchez.

I don't think they have a stat for the number of times a keeper kicks the ball straight to an opponent and he scores. If they did dirty Sanchez would be top.

Is he really the answer ? I know Sanchez isn’t but I’m not sure about Petrovic, think it could be a classic case of him being rated because he’s not in the team at the moment.

My memory of him last season was being distinctly average at best. Started out ok but started letting in cheap enough goals but not howlers like Sanchez. Sort of like Kepa in that regard and I think his very low save % shows that.

I think coming from the MLS straight into one of the biggest clubs in the world is a big ask, even then last season he was better than Sanchez in my opinion. This season though Petrovic appears to have gone from strength to strength at Strasbourg, him and Santos could be an early example of how well this sister relationship with Strasbourg could work, so I'd much rather bring Petro back to be our number 1 and spend money elsewhere.

Want to give him some credit where it’s due, add to the fact he ran the length of the pitch to celebrate, I like seeing that!

Next week on the Shed End...

Mod buys a Sanchez top

OR

This thread goes nuts after he makes errors vs Newcastle.

Tune in to find out!

Going long far more frequently now, hopefully Maresca has seen the error of his ways.

Good shot stopper but still seems to miskick it often. There was a couple yesterday when he went long yesterday and fluffed it and drilled it along the floor directly to a Liverpool midfielder.

We always said his worst problem was the passing around in our own box. The more we don't do that the better Dirty Sanchez looks. Plus without the disaster twins playing he looks to have more confidence which always helps.

Just how long do we have to suffer this clown playing in goal for us?

Not saying he was at fault for any of the three goals last night. But he just isn't good enough - we all know that. The way he dawdles on the ball and you know a gaff will come at some point. It happened countless times last night. That can't instal any confidence in the defence. No team with any ambitions of challenging for top honours will do so with a keeper like Sanchez. I'm just fed up of seeing this bloke appearing every f**king game. To keep selecting him, that alone is a sackable offence.

If only we already owned statistically the best keeper in Europe last season… oh wait!

It’s an absolute circus

As long as Ben Roberts is at the club.
