January 26, 20251 yr Maybe one day we can stop bringing in peoploe from Brighton and actually focus on some quality signings and coaches.

First goal is hilarious. Best Sanchez brain fart yet LOL he's comedy gold in quite a few places to be honest 🙂 Dear oh dear. He really hasn't improved at all has he? Even his angry reactions are still the exact same.
January 27, 20251 yr I dont think Sanchez has got any worse since he joined. He was second choice at Brighton. It was probably for a reason. Another success story for the sporting directors in the making ....im assuming we bought him cheaply and will therefore be able to sell him on at a tidy profit. His shot stopping has been excellent and we should be able to gloss over the small matter of his feet quite easily.
January 27, 20251 yr Poch started with him. He got injured, came back and stayed on the bench. Why was Poch not forced to drop Petrovic when Sanchez came back? Think his selection is all on Maresca. So just how bad is Jorgensen?

Thar video shows him doing the same stuff now as he did all those years back. Is incredible our "data driven recruitment" led us to believe he was a good signing. My goodness.

I've only just realised that Robert Sanchez was the Rochdale goalie that day. Jesus Christ. 5 years ago and the guy is still making exactly the same mistakes. How did he end up at Chelsea FFS? Can't believe people have tried defending him. He makes the odd great save (which is what keepers are supposed to do - what they're actually paid for), but the guy is a clown - stealing a living. Whoever sanctioned us signing him in the first place should be sacked and the same goes for a coach who insists on keep picking him.

The scoring began when Sanchez was embarrassed by Toney after collecting a Jimmy McNulty back pass. And then later in the game : then on 51 minutes Maddison took advantage of Sanchez's poor clearance to lob the goalkeeper. How could I forget, probably the best player I've seen play at Posh, hence why I was so keen for us to sign him last summer. Maddison was such a good player as well but his career took a bit of a different path than Toney's after he left Peterborough.
January 27, 20251 yr Didn't think it could be physically possible for a Chelsea GK to be worse than Kepa.

January 27, 20251 yr It's bad enough we keep picking him but putting a statue outside the stadium is properly taking the piss.

He's only got half of his arms, no wonder he is so w**k. Also who ever created that image should be whipped in a public square every St. Crispin's Day.
January 28, 20251 yr Anyone know how Pendeds has performed in his games this season? If we're not going further into the market next summer he (or a Donnarumma suddenly coming through) are the only hopes I have this goallie situation can be fixed.
January 28, 20251 yr Just have Jorgensen as #1 for now and see how Petrovic vs Penders do in a couple seasons.
January 28, 20251 yr Let's see a run of games with Jorgensen. If he's better then he stays in the team ; if he is worse than it's back to Sanchez I guess ... unless anyone fancies Bettinelli or Bergstrom LOL

January 29, 20251 yr If Sanchez keeps starting it's just going to spiral down with every mistake he makes, he needs a break to get his confidence back. Enzo would be doing him a favor taking him out of the firing line for a bit. It is possible to stick with your guy for too long to his detriment. It not a bad patch Sanchez is going through, it is at 27 what he is IMO.
January 30, 20251 yr Was a wild and stubborn decision to announce Sanchez as #1 before a training session had even begun after Petrovics performances in comparison to Sanchez’s last season. Much like his substitutions/tactics/game management though I feel Maresca is too stubborn to admit defeat and will stick with Sanchez despite the noise around him, much like his insistence on playing Palmer through the middle despite him being much less effective and out RW being woeful at best.

I think EM should get it more than Sanchez with the last few interviews he's done! What a joke! Absolute yes-man! He's starting him every week, no doubt being told to cause Ben Roberts is Sanchez's bum chum!

I think we'll find out if this is the case on Monday, after Maresca publicly backed him last week despite everyone else knowing he's toss Sanchez pulled out that abysmal performance against City. His position as starter is untenable to fans and I assume the players don't enjoy seeing their effort going up in smoke because of goalkeeper errors match after match. If Maresca starts him against West Ham he is either a complete puppet being told to play him, or he's a complete idiot.
