Majority of CFC supporters thought we performed better with Petrovic in goal and we didn't concede so many comical goals. And majority of supporters were also vocal when they heard Petrovic was going out on loan and Sanchez was staying put. That's what i go by!

Robert Sanchez - +0.08

Petrovic - +0.21

Jorgensen - +0.65

Sanchez - 0.24

Petrovic - 0.28

Jorgensen - 0.34

 

So our number one is statistically the worst keeper we own. Faces the easiest shots yet just about break even over a 90, while our other two keepers are proving much better.

Petrovic was in the bottom 4 in the PL for those metrics last season FYI. PSxG of 28 and conceded 38 goals. 

Jorgensen is only a very small sample of 2 games this year, plus wasn't anything spectacular in La Liga last year either, but we may as well have a look at him in the PL now. Take Sanchez out of the firing line for a bit.

It's literally an identical situation to Emerson/Baba where fans were so sick of the alternatives that anything short of obvious match fixing was going to be brushed under the carpet.

I mean the average Chelsea fan doesn't exactly have the greatest track record (and yes I include myself in that).

Off the top of my head if we had a vote Mou would have stayed instead of appointing Conte, Lamps would have stayed instead of appointing Tuchel, Reguillion over peak Chilwell, Mount would have stayed instead of signing Palmer and Rice would be here over Caicedo!

Excellent shot stopper but with the way we play it’s pointless because he has to be comfortable with the ball at his feet.

We kept more clean sheets with Petrovic than we did with Sanchez in the league per game. 

Form with Sanchez - W4 D3 L6

Form with Petrovic - W13 D5 L5

won 1 drew 1 and lost 3 of the 5 games before Sanchez was dropped. Won 4 of our next 5 when Petrovic took over. There was the obvious hammerings to Liverpool and Arsenal later in the season that didn't help but overall the team clearly played better when Sanchez wasn't behind them terrifying everybody. 

Maresca going out his way to criticise our best players to protect Sanchez is beyond weird. If he had a proven track record of world class form you could understand it, its absolutely mental.

Worse goalkeeper I can recall for Chelsea. And one of the worse I have seen in the league. His mistakes are almost weekly now. 

Get him out the club. I don’t care at all at what cost. He’s f’ing useless. An absolute clown. 

The worst keeper to wear the shirt but this is on Maresca for sticking by him. There is no reason he still starts every game in the league.

It was comical looking at him.. he can see the ball coming over the top yet for some reason didn’t retreat.. basically stands still .. either go and attack or run back to the goal .. he just panicks .. doesn’t have the mentality to be elite..

I get more and more angry when I see this guy playing for us.

He’s always been a sh*t keeper with the old fashioned eye test, now statistically he makes the most errors that leads to goals.

Let’s not forget the ones that haven’t lead to goals, he’s the worst keeper in the league.

I’m fuming with him.

Dave Beasent was shipped out for far less and them days we wasn’t even trying to be a top 4 team.

He looks gormless and he performs like a Sunday league keeper.

I’m done with him, he should NEVER play for this club again if we have any ambition whatsoever.

Genuinely have no idea what he was doing, at no point was he getting anywhere near to the ball, f**king idiot.

I checked @Argo's metrics again tonight and they just say "Sanchez is a useless c**t".

Seems accurate enough.
