His failure to claim or even go for the ball that led to our second should tell you he aint all that, confident, strong keepers smash through everyone to make that ball there's, claiming or punching it, he went back onto his line and let defenders facing goal deal with it. didndt read the danger, didnt want to be brave and challenge.

Made some good stops through the game, but you need a keeper who commands his area.

Decision making can get better when he plays more matches. I’m not writing him off yet.

Sanchez is always a rush of blood away from costing us big time but having seen the alternative tonight I actually welcome him back between the posts.

If he did not have the bozo gene he would be a solid PL keeper for a mid table side.

whereas Jorgensen is just an overall really poor goalkeeper that makes the occasional decent stop.

After watching Jorgensen today - a man whose got the nerve to claim to be a professional footballer keeping goal I’m soooooo farkin glad Sanchez only banned for 1 game

Ditto to Sconnie Blue, watch Maignan go United in January they pay more

Had Maignan at our doorstep and we shooed him away because if a £5m disparity.

Hate these directors.

In all fairness mate, Maignan is at the retirement age of 30, what use would that be for this elite team?

Had a stinker last night and has been found out. cant deal with the high ball... a cross. bread and butter for a keeper.

Worth a mention.

Ever since Bobby Sandschez has gone on blunder strike we’ve looked a much more solid and composed unit.

His command of the box and lack of hesitance recently is like watching a new signing.

We're only one behind Arsenal for PL clean sheets at this point !

The last time he was praised, he got red carded against United 😬

He was a pretty big part of the reason that the 'Set Piece Masters' were unable to lay a glove on us. Sánchez is really very good when he's not f**king up catastrophically.

We must be in Bizzaro world where Caicedo has the big brainfart and Sanchez the big performance

Sanchez this season compared to last is night and day. He’s been excellent and as others have pointed out, Maresca allowing him to go long when he needs to is the major reason.

If we sign a keeper or Penders is the real deal then they’ve got a job on their hands taking his place on his current form.

This is best case as its far too soon for Penders to come back imo. He needs a couple of seasons minimum in a top league.

Penders in 2027 should be the long term plan at the earliest.

Yep. It says a lot, where I'm no longer concerned or having heart palpitations every time I see Sanchez's name on the team sheet.

He really has improved a LOT. Long may it continue.

I still get a bit scared when he's on the ball as past trauma kicks in, but his bad kicks/passes either go out of play or high enough up the pitch that it doesn't lead to direct and clear chances.

Another player who has turned a corner and is putting in match-saving performances in regularly.

As mentioned him being allowed to kick long when he needs to makes a big difference.

He's even been better coming for crosses and corners as well.

I worry about other positions on the pitch more now, which is progress.

I personally have not been happy with him in the past but have to say recently his form has been consistently good with the biggest improvement being his decision making. Hope this continues

He makes me so nervous when the ball is at his feet, and he is almost guaranteed one low scuffed miskick per game straight to the opposition. But my goodness, those two saves down low when initially moving the other direction - strong wrists to save with single hand. Those saves also give me fear as it reminds me of flappy wrists Kepa. And Sanchez is superb in the air also.
