October 2, 20232 yr sh*tting hell that line up has taken me by surprise. Would prefer Enzo at 6/8 rather than 10 but otherwise decent given our injuries.
October 2, 20232 yr Surprised to see Sterling dropped and Broja. Maybe it’s Poch back up plan and he’s assuming that it’s abit early for Broja.
October 2, 20232 yr My only complaint about that line up is Enzo as a 10. Sterling dropped? Broja starts? Palmer starts? Brilliant. So naturally us not winning is a certainty given I am happy with the line up. You have all been warned...
October 2, 20232 yr Everytime we pick a team I'm surprised by just how bad our line up is. Then I realise that's just the squad we have. Very very midtable but Fulham are beatable.
October 2, 20232 yr Broja starting is bold. Hope he's up for it. Cucurella at right-back again (possibly) is funny, guess we're hoping the Bosingwa concentration complex kicks in. Dropping Sterling is strange considering our lack of depth, presumably injury-related. Would have thought using a back three and putting Maatsen at LWB would have been a relatively simple decision, however his contract situation is presumably influencing his playing time (or lack thereof). Could of course be something completely different (Disasi RB and Cucucrella LB? Back three with Gallagher/Caicedo RWB and Cucurella LWB?
October 2, 20232 yr I'm really puzzled by Enzo at 10 with Gallagher deeper - just doesn't look a good fit. Poch saying in pre-match that Gallagher helps win the ball back more? I guess he must have stats that prove that but it doesn't feel like it watching us play
October 2, 20232 yr Very, very early for a Broja start. But no else can play as lead striker so needs must.
October 2, 20232 yr Thing is with the Enzo 10 is where is Nkunku going to play when he’s back? If 10 then why not let Enzo get used to the 8 position he’d play when he’s back rather than waste the first 6 months out of position. Surly Palmer or Conor can play the 10 role for now.
October 2, 20232 yr Really happy with that line up, probably the best we could have fielded with the injuries we've got apart from maybe Colwill replacing Silva in the middle and Maatsen at LB
October 2, 20232 yr Have a few issues with the lineup as usual but whatever, should still win this one.

I think at the moment Poch wants to defend that back line a bit more and a midfield of Conor, Caicedo and Enzo protects it better. And really Enzo and Conor will change positions with each other regularly.
October 2, 20232 yr Just going to the shop to buy a bottle of red wine. To drown my sorrows or celebrate.

October 2, 20232 yr This line up has 11 career Chelsea goals between them, and Thiago Silva has 5 of those LOL. Time for the front 4 to step up 🙂

October 2, 20232 yr I know that injuries are playing a huge part in selection but Cucurella and Disaster as our two full backs is relegation standards. Happy to see Broja lead the line up and hopefully once the formation starts Enzo is further back than it’s showing.
