Chelsea v Brentford (PL) Sat 28th Oct 23 12:30 GMT

I actually think it wouldn’t  be the end of the world for Enzo to miss a game, or Gallagher, or Caicedo with gallagher doing his job. Based on what I see on tv I think we would miss Enzo the least but that probably shows how little I know.

I really like Enzo - Caicedo - Gallagher as a 3, but I certainly see an argument for resting one of Caicedo/Enzo so as to keep them fresh, even if one replaces the other off the bench at some point. They had a really short turnaround between internationals and the Arsenal game, last thing we need is another silly injury.

Also, looking at the update the club just put out, it doesn't look like Broja will be available tomorrow. I think this increases the need for a fast start tomorrow, as Jackson does seem to fade a little bit towards the end of games when tasked with playing the full 90.

I would prefer all 3 to carry on playing as much as possible, though obviously if fitness is a problem they need resting. There`s a belting partnership between the 3 building there, and it needs nurturing through playing together more, its 3 very young players so the more they learn from each other the netter it will get.

Not sure that Cucurella starting at LB would be a big risk. He has been one of our best players the last couple of games.

We will definitely need ariel dominance against Brentford. We still aren't a free flowing attacking side that can risk having smaller defenders on the pitch.

This, the argument of breaking this midfield 3 is very little at the moment.

It is hard to argue that both Mudryk and Jackson have to play.

Much as I think Postecoglou is a wonderful coach and does a great job, I don't think Spurs are that good a team. They are riding a bubble but they don't have the squad depth to go through a season. We, and therefore a number of other teams, are well capable of beating them.

Not sure how this can be a toss up. They are very different.

If Brentford win this game they will become the first side ever in the PL era to beat us at the Bridge in their first 3 visits.

I got that one from a prematch preview done by a Chelsea youtuber.

Should be a good reminder to our lot that Brentford deserve no less respect that we gave Arsenal

Also, it's not like we had a midweek game.

Why Jackson?

Good point, this group need matches together, I understand some rotation is needed but coaches nowadays seem to go with all this data driven stuff to swap players in and out far too much at times it seems.
