Carney and Gusto got minutes and looked ok we didn't see Broja so there's a chance we finally get rid of him tomorrow Negatives - Everything else. Outclassed from start to finish. Pretty much agree. I would put Petrovic in the positives as well. Let in 4 goals, could have been 5 with the pen. Didn't really put a foot wrong and posisbly stopped it from being even more of an embarrassment. Solid game from Petrovic.

January 31, 20242 yr We’ll need to be a lot better in the final to even get near them. Not good enough tonight Too passive ,sloppy and didn’t win our individual battles. Really disappointed with Badishelle recently. He started great for us but last few months , he’s been awful.
January 31, 20242 yr I was so swayed by Pochettino’s initial interviews for the club. Very charming, saying the goal is to win now. Knowing he had experience in transforming squads into exciting teams, I was so excited for the season. I fell for it so bad. He is truly out of his depth.

Knowing he had experience in transforming squads into exciting teams, Truth is he became manager of Spurs just as Kane came into the first team. They signed Son and that was it. And even with that pair up front he didn't do anything.

They had 13 shots on target, so I guess he's made 9 saves, which is pretty good. I had Petrovic, Gusto, Nkunku and Chukwuemeka in my good books, The less said the better regarding the rest tonight ... Hopefully this one will serve as some classic rope-a-dope for the EFL Cup Final. Definitely hope the refereeing gets mentioned post match as we need to do everything we can to ensure we don't get similarly f**ked over at Wembley ...

January 31, 20242 yr What I was talking about earlier. How are we supposed to progress the ball further up?

I just felt he was never top drawer and after his time at PSG was a bit washed up. Maybe I'll be proven wrong and we'll end the season strongly but it's been underwhelming so far. Oh well, at least we score goals from time to time, but more often than not the players don't seem to know what they're supposed to be doing.

Looked a player last season but he’s been dreadful this year , worse than colwill and disassi who’ve been shocking too.

January 31, 20242 yr Beaten by a better team. Hopefully Gusto, Nkunku, Colwill & Jackson play in the final & Chilwell is more up for it. 5 possible positives there to give us a chance
January 31, 20242 yr Men against kids out there, and not very good bunch of kids 🤔 If Nunez is half a finisher, be at least 5 goals. Defence is all over the places, midfield keeps turning over under their pressure, and attack non-existent apart from that goal. Only one with a bit of credit is the GK. It's a sad reality check, we may get away with it at Luton, but no chance against a serious title challenging team. Quick solution? I doubt any, probably don't want an expensive deadline signing right now.
January 31, 20242 yr I'm not even embarressed to say that I couldn't bring myself to watch the 2nd half having watched the 1st. It's been a very long time since I gave up on watching one of our games, be that in person at the ground or on tv, but this one did it for me. As bad as some of the referee decisions were, this result was fairly and squarely on our players and Poch. No fight, no spirit, no tactics and no idea. It just added to and summed up the bad day I'd already been having on a personal level. I can't even be arsed to get angry anymore.
February 1, 20242 yr We sat back and watched them play, we did the same at Old trafford when we played United. Poch got all the tactics wrong for this one. When we played the filthy scouse b'stards earlier in the season [sorry but i really fcucking hate Liverpool] we played well. They have progressed and we have not. Positives Nkunku played well and he should start as a striker. A new JFH. A no.9 Petrovic was great in goal - even though he conceded 4 - we have a goalkeeper now. That's it for the positives. When poch switched to a 4-3-3 we looked better. Enzo, Palmer and Chukwuemeka as the 3. No need to ever play both Caicedo and Enzo. Negatives the rest of it You cannot play a CB as a LB - kid looked lost
February 1, 20242 yr Shocking performance. Do we actually prepare for games or just turn up and hope for the best? It’s like we walked into an ambush and got massacred. No-one seemed to know what do. There was no plan. No tactics. No strategy. Just a lot of running about in blind panic and hoping the ref would come to our aid. Fat chance. We got what we deserved.
February 1, 20242 yr Similar thing was against Luton . 3-0 and we barley kept 3-2, could be 3-4. Its not only about tactics and system. Its also about players to keep some level.
February 1, 20242 yr The set up was terrible. We had no valid plan to beat the press with the midfielders too far apart. As a result there were kamikaze dribbles from Chilwell and Sterling which naturally result in lost possession. Lots of short and medium passes went astray due to both a poor pass and lack of intensity from the recipient. There were a couple of alternative plans we could have tried both of which would have involved the entire team getting more compact. Gallagher, Enzo (who had a pretty ordinary game) and Caicedo could have played much closer together. If we can't keep the ball we could have had a plan to go long regularly and let sterling or Madueke (not pacy for a winger) chase it. There is a lot of blame to fall on Poch's head in reality but he will be able to point to the unbelievably poor performance from Chilwell and the aptly nicknamed Baddy. Chilwell still seemed to think he was a winger. Incredible really.
February 1, 20242 yr Author I told my Liverpool supporter best mate that I am very disappointed... ...disappointed in his lot. Only 4 with us being that sh*t was them taking the pi$$ out of us way more playing in second gear than actually taking us seriously and punishing us. Utter humiliation.
