Aston Villa vs Chelsea (FA CUP Replay) Wed 7th February 2024 20:00 GMT

Featured Replies

Chilly and Gusto looked completely balanced with both bombing down the wing at the appropriate time. Was that due to lack of Thiago Silva in the back 4? Somebody with more tactical knowledge will need to explain why they looked so good today but so poor in the last match.

Very good tonight. Energetic, attackers running at defenders with confidence, high tempo, fell apart a bit in the last 20 minutes. Don't make it a one off, don't get carried away and think everything is fixed, go and do it again and then go and do it again the next game too.

Great result, but Doesnt it even more make you wonder why the team was setup correctly today, and why everyone was able to put in this kind of effort today compared to what we have been seeing 🤔.

We will get battered again this season I know that for sure but what this result shows changing the manager now or in the summer might just unsettle everything.
It shows the standard these players should be at and for whatever reason they have been well below what they should be ashamed.

Now we know what they can do they now know they should be aiming for this level at a minimum.

I found him. He’s ‘Obi-Wan-Iwobi’ on Fulham forums, slagging off Broja

Can confirm that isn't me.

but if it only took the Fulham supporters 15 minutes to realise they took the wrong Chelsea striker on loan they're a smart bunch!

I really wonder why we stop playing after 65/70 mins or so even when we are having good game ?  Last 2 games , did Liverpool  or wolves stopped playing anywhere in the entire game ?

And started wasting time...if they are enjoying themselves and getting lots more chances why stop and just sit back, it really doesn't make sense

You've had so many reincarnations on here you don't who you are.

Tonight they have the excuse of running their socks off though that has certainly not always been the case.

You have to suspect not having Silva on made a difference.

Chilwell said in the post press they thought they had to win tonight as things were getting serious at the club,,,,, makes you wonder.

First class performance tonight. Hopefully no pedantic posts picking out individual errors. As a team they were excellent and fully deserved the result.

That said Jorginho was sh*te

Yeah but TBF he always is.
