We ain't finishing any higher than 11th. 2 seasons in a row of mid table sh*te. And some actually think there is something in this project.

I agree.  This is the new reality. This could take years and years to recover from.

From the Gilette and Hicks quality of ownership, through the hapless, clueless management and the considerably average and overpaid players. We are where we should be. I think we're are 12th place side for while yet.

Mid table performance from a mid table team.

Pochettino set us up to stifle, not sure what sort of mindset that shows to the players. Sick of it. Disasi and Jackson both with the goals, but I thought both were really poor for most of the game, as was Chilwell, and Colwill.

Mediocre FC nowadays so I suppose this was a good result for the new ownership.

At least we've gained a point on Brighton and Wolves today.

Missed opportunity though ...

Onwards and upwards !

Onwards maybe but I can't see any upwards occurring any time soon.

So glad I had F1 to lure me out of watching this dross again.

What hurts the most is that it doesn’t bother me at all that I missed the game.

Disappointed we did not win this one, thought with most of Brentford's back line out we would really take advantage.

Thought it weird Poch going with a back 3, thought we would go more offensive.

A good point in terms of previous results against this lot though feels like a missed opportunity.

I think Big Sam would do better than this dosser. He doesn't seem to care

Looks to me like the idea that this is a long term project means that right now he can get away with it being a sh*t show. Surely we can't have another season of this though??

I still can't work out how by having us as a mid table mediocre side will allow these clowns to make loads of money out of owning us.

How much did Mike Ashley make out of owning Newcastle.  Did he get to sell it off for massive profit? Maybe that is the plan, fck the football.

I didn’t mind Poch trying something different with the three at the back, and the first half I thought was ok. Not reacting in the second when we all saw what was about to happen, is pure neglect.

Seemed a bit spineless to me. He set up not to lose and by half time we were getting away with it because Brentford were uncharacteristically flat for most of it.  Then they raised their tempo, attitude and appetite for the game and we were a mess.  As soon as they equalised you knew who was clear favourites to score again but Poch did nothing about it until it was panic 2 1 down time.

I thought Enzo had a good first half but when you reflect on the whole game he actually, and somewhat frighteningly, reminded me of Jorginho.  Looks good when not under pressure and has all the time to pick a pass but a bit of a disaster when he gets suffocated.

Maybe they are not as hasty as majority of people on this forum. On top of making this a successful team of young lads they need to upgrade the stadium and visit US for all kinds marketing purposes. Maybe they see things in terms of 5-10 years. You should consider that.

In 5-10 years theres a chance we might not even playing top flight football. The stadium plans arent any closer than they were while Roman was here. What is the need to have so many young players? It seems to me we have created this type of squad for 2 reasons.

Young unproven players are the only ones willing to accept the new wage structure, and they directors of football believe that all these young players will grow together to be successful, despite their being not real evidence to back that up.

I dont see this approach bringing sporting success ever. It's like something you would do on fifa career mode where players all have a fixed potential.

Real life doesn't world like that, young players dont reach their potential of they are not in the right environment. Some of the scars these players are getting from losing so regularly will kill their potential to world class for Chelsea.

I think it is an absolute pipe dream, and the new ownership has effective bet our future on it being a success.

And you should also consider the possibility that they don't actually know what they are doing in an industry and country that they have not traded in before. We are now approaching 20% of the journey completed. Are we progressing or is this going to be the great unveiling at the end of all this. It all just seem seems very Derek Trotter. This time next year Mauricio we'll be millionaires.  Hmm.

Not often I disagree with you Loz, but I  certainly do here. J5 does not have the vision to see some of the forward passes Enzo made in that first half, let alone the ability and passing range to execute them. The problem is not Fernandez, it's the quality of players in front of him who should be finishing much more regularly from those passes.

You put a Kane, Halaand, M'bappe, Martinez ahead of Enzo he would destroy teams with his vision, accuracy and the range of his passing.
