They usually say they are " not a quitter" to force a sacking !
January 1Jan 1 Xavi seems to be another name touted in the media. He is currently available so there would be no need to pay out another club, and he would probably command some respect from the players given his standing in the game. But I cannot imagine him being happy to work under the owner/SD model.

So, he may have decided he could not take working with Clearlake any more.
January 1Jan 1 Along with his boring boring football, he and the club treated some players disgracefully, especially Chalobah. And then he started to single out particular players when things were going wrong. .
January 1Jan 1 IF THEY EMPLOY THE EX MANAGER OF HULL THEN AT THE NEXT HOME GAME ALL SEASON TICKET HOLDERS NEED TO BOYCOTT THE GAME, LET THEM PLAY IN A HALF EMPTY STADIUM, OR BOO THE MANAGER EVERY GAME UNTIL THE OWNERS f**k OFF
January 1Jan 1 Look at this f**king pic from Rosenior's previous job history LOL. All bets are off ! This appointment is as close to a dead cert as you are ever likely to get LOL

Although he fell out with Bloom over the transfer strategy so would be another to resign here after a period of time.

Despite that disappointment Rosenior had impressed many onlookers during an 18-month stint.Having steered Hull clear of relegation and finished 15th during his first season, the former Hull and Brighton full-back kept his side in or around the top six this season.

It was his choice to make the substitutions.

Another way to say that is that you need a puppet.Someone who does exactly what they are told from above. If you want that person then you have to get one. They will get someone in who is young and easy to manipulate."
January 1Jan 1 It’s quite obvious to see Maresca was the one who threw in the towel. The directors are clueless, yes, but him walking away has put them into this position. It’s ridiculous for a manager not doing a presser after a match. Maresca not feeling well was one big smoke screen. Never warmed up to him and the poor results speak for themselves. Playing players out of position and not developing the defensive line at the back. Nah, I don’t mind he’s gone.

I’ve never warmed to him however I thought he / we had turned the corner after the CWC final; the football was good to watch and I was hoping that when this season began we’d see more of the same, but no, we have watched sh*t boring football for the most part, thrown away games we should have won. This together with his insistence of playing young world class players out of position and his in game management was the end for me. Defensively we’ve become a total shambles because of it; you can’t have your two full backs caught in the opponents box when you lose the ball and the scurry back to try and get into position like a dog chasing a ball. The spine of the team was never built, just a collection of players playing alongside each other in the hope it would work out, no structure, no balance. So yes I’m glad the stubborn Italian has gone albeit bad timing IMO. Now the rush for an interim manager and who knows a chance for Sterling and Desasi to redeem themselves (I hope not).Rosenior seems the obvious choice for the board but who knows what the two SD morons will come up with. Agree 100% and mirrors my own feelings on the Maresca Experience. If I had to think of one word to sum up the Maresca tenure then "Frustrating" would probably be it (athough "boring" was pushing that hard). Tried so hard to like him but just when I was beginning to warm he would do something to really p1ss me off again.I think particularly the stubborness to try something new when the same thing wasn't working for weeks on end, and then when seemingly finally "stumbling on a solution still then going back to what had previously not worked. Also the fitting of a "mute button" on our most creative players and the constant inability to seemingly get two decent 45 minutes out of a game.Add to that the above mentioned in the post quoted and don't get me started on the lame excuses "we had 24 hours less time to prepare " (didn't hinder the mighty Ipswich when they rolled us over I seem to remember). and the "we worked all week on a specific plan to play against todays opposition, I have watched them 300 times over the last few days but they changed their tactics and played a different way against us", well well surprise surprise how dare they. A premier league manager without a plan B sorry but.......Maresca to me just never seemed to want to change, in my humble opinion was never going to be a "10 steps forward" type of manager, always 7 steps forwards 3 steps back (that maybe a tad generous on reflection.Enjoyed some of the moments that he did give us but frustrating and underwhelming in the main for me.No idea who will replace him and beyond caring at this exact moment, I guess the smart money and the fact that the owners persist with buying embryos and youngsters the best match would be Liam NoSenior. After that in true Maresca style I'll get my coat, knew I should never have pulled that last xmas cracker.
January 1Jan 1 We should just appoint one of the sporting directors since they're the ones running the show anyway. Also, appointing them as managers is the only way they could ever get sacked!

January 1Jan 1 I gave these clowns way too much credit, they are even worse decision makers than I imagined. To sack Maresca and make a coaching appointment that actually goes backwards, is just deliberate detriment to the club. I mean, who the hell makes a backwards appointment after a sacking? It makes zero sense. Surely the other investors will look at Egbahli (if it is him) and his decision making and wonder what the hell is going on, then they'll want to pull the plug on their stake. This is absolutely absurd decision making from so called smart business people.
