Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

And we need someone who can handle the 100m plus personalities and build a tightly knit group of players who will play as a f**king team.

For me, a big one of our "team" problems is Enzo - acts as if he is the captain in waiting and an undroppable player because he's been made to believe that - either by Maresca or the clowns upstairs!

Yes he won the World with Argentina but he's a million miles away from being the next Frank Lampard.

Enzo plays as much as he does as he is Egbahli personal signing and favorite

If I read it correctly, it's far more than just the recent results ( not good but certainly not unacceptable since we are never going to win the league). The way the club's been recruiting, we aren't building a title winning ( or challenging) team, but a team able to generate profit through transfers. This is the game we are playing, we aren't going to get elite or even very good managers. They aren't in this game to help the club to make profit, they are in for winning football.

Anyway, Enzo actually achieved what's been asked of him since his arrival, respect to him.

At least with a new manager we will see if the team selection, tactics and subs remain the same.

That will give us the clearest indication of whose really in charge, though under Poch it didn't feel that the higher ups where involved with team selection, player minutes etc.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to All Posters !!

These are screenshots from aunty beeb coverage of his resignation

Seems as though are hunches were correct the owners do want a say on game day line ups , subs etc can’t blame Maresca for walking. Still I for one am not sorry to see him depart, however it does appear to be an ‘out of the 🍳 into the 🔥’ situation currently.

Never a dull moment following the Mighty Blues.

So alledgedly Fraudo walked because he was told who to play, and also because he was told who not to play. This is one complicated matrix 😃

Still can't get over the irony that Maresca fell out with Eghbali/Clearlake, given how much they were pushing for him to be hired in the first place.

He was depicted as the man who would lead us in the long-term under this "project". To see it blow up in Clearlake's faces is both ironic and terrifying simultaneously.

God knows what comes next...

Could be read a 100 different ways...

Could be they kept on asking, like a lot of us did, why wasn't Estavao starting ?

Or could be they were wondering, like a lot us did, why does this Gusto guy keep starting ?

etc. etc.

They've learned a lesson anyway .. extreme due diligence in making a manager appointment has resulted in two successive managers walking out on them, so they've now done a complete 180 and opted for no due diligence at all LOL.

Trust the Process 🤠

I know we'll get someone sh*te, but thank god that f**king fraud is gone, happiest I've been with football for ages.

At least with him gone there's a glimmer of hope things can get better, we were never going to get better under that daft twat.

Yeah, it seems odd to me however you look at it. As I posted earlier somewhere: if this rumour is true and Fraudo had been instructed who to play/not to play, then it says a lot about his professional pride that he didn't walk away immediately, or even after 3 or so instances that he was told what to do. Who with an adequately functioning spine would put up with this? As it is, I'm not convinced this really happened.

Worse than Potter?

Hard to judge, I didn't rate Potter, but he also came at a torrid time, any manager would've struggled with that team. I don't think his appointment would've ever worked here. But even Potter had a better CV than Maresca, the Maresca experiment has been utterly dreadful and has gone on for far too long.

Just please for the love of god, get someone who is good, likes to get the team attacking and playing well. No more silly experiments on maybe's because they picked up training cones for Guardiola once upon a time.

THIS IS WORTH A WATCH

Well, he's gutted that Maresca's been sacked! I agree with the sentiment that the owners are killing Chelsea FC but I don't get why we should be gutted about Maresca sacking. He was a con artist passing as a coach. Worst lineups and worst positioning of players I've ever seen. Again, the owners are to blame because of the direction they're taking their CFC-LDN, and I don't expect them to appoint an experienced manager with credentials, but I can't be sad that Maresca has left.

FINGERS CROSSED.... NOT THE PUPPET AT STRASBOURG

Chelsea target Premier League manager to replace Maresca

According to a report from the Mail, Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola is ‘being considered’ by the club, with Chelsea set to have an interim manager this weekend against Manchester City, and thus more time to find a manager.

Iraola is clearly one option that the Blues have as they hunt for Maresca’s replacement. What makes things slightly easier is the fact that he is out of contract down on the South Coast this summer.

Why Iraola would be a good appointment

There is no doubt that Cherries boss Iraola, a close childhood friend of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, is one of the most highly rated managers in the top flight. Journalist James Horncastle even went as far as saying that he is the “best coach in the Premier League,” which is huge praise indeed.

It would certainly be a different appointment compared to if the Blues were to go and get Rosenior. The former Hull City gaffer has also impressed at Strasbourg, helping them to reach the Conference League this term.

However, there is one thing that might swing it in Iraola’s favour, and that is the fact that he has Premier League experience. Rosenior, of course, has never managed in the top flight of England, just like Maresca hadn’t done before.

I wouldn't. He's a busted flush, a shadow of what once was. The owners won't. They want a yes man.

Agreed. I was talking this week to a friend who's a Benfica fan and he says that Mourinho is still a good show-man with the press but that the football is dreadful. 10 points behind Porto and 5 behind Sporting, and nothing to boast about football-wise.
