Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

Featured Replies

At least we beat that entitled bunch of sorry c**ts from my neck of the woods. That's what I'm clinging on to this season.

And still I want Fraudo gone, preferably with SDs in tow.

We are likely the only team playing a kid in defence who's our best CB.

There's no magic wand. We can ask for some continuity with Chalobah + Acheampong, but the former's inconsistency and latter's age/inexperience will undoubtedly show over a demanding schedule. I also have my concerns on Chalobah being able to manage a match every 3 days as well given I don't recall him ever handling that sort of schedule.

Cubarsi at Barca. Works pretty well for them.

Exactly, whatever we say about Arteta or the strength of his squad at his disposal he doesn’t really rotate Gabriel & Saliba and even Timber and Calafori play regularly as even he knows familiar partnerships can turn into the making of a strong defence.

Maresca doesn’t give them enough continuity to improve, he just randomly picks 4 players as our back line.

Seems Marisca is just a trainer, and the Sporting Directors control other aspects.

“Rotation at Chelsea is not seen as enforced, and is expected as part of the sporting model.

Owners and sporting directors are aligned that it is a useful way of developing the squad and ensuring a deep pool of options for a long season.”

Overrated. If Barca weren't outscoring their opponents by several goals a lot of attention would be put of how poor they are defensively.

I was going to type some longish stuff about Maresca and the state of the club, but after a couple of sentences I deleted it. I’m so disillusioned with the way it’s being run that I can’t be arsed explaining what I think is wrong. It’s sh*t and it’s not changing. So I’ll just have to put up with it for years to come and accordingly adjust my interest. I believe there other things to be interested in that don’t ruin two days a week.

Does anyone think that an Arsenal, City, or Liverpool would start a CL game with a youngster out of position ( who they tried to sell) at centre forward ? Or would any of them have as their one experienced centre forward a player such as Liam Delap ? Or would any of them start a youngster like Hato at centre back ? The transfer policy will ensure that we will always have a young inexperienced team every season.

We aren't acting like a club looking to establish itself back where we used to be..

But all those problems are down to the amount of changes he keeps making, its not entirely down to who he picks, its the amount of different combinations he keeps using, for no reason whatsover other than he loves the smell of his own sh*t.

And to add to his constant tinkering which destroys any chance of building partnerships, he never knows what players he'll have available anyway after every transfer window closes. !

They are poor when he is not in the side. He is by far their best CB (Christensen is perma-crocked) and a good comparison to Acheampong/Colwill because despite his age, their defensive system falls apart without him. His line-breaking passes and ability 1v1 stop them from being obliterated on the counter-attack, even if he isn't fastest himself.

These kinds of managers are so far divorced from reality they don't treat the players as human, and wonder why their team has no leadership or chemistry.

I think you are asking the wrong question.

The more important question is where is their Hato, gittens, estevao, Garnacho, etc.

Yeah, manage by numbers, they just see data and statistics and choose accordingly. Its just rubbish isnt it.

They're 4 vastly different types of signing. What are you trying to get at here?

Are you insinuating top teams don't buy young players?

Even Wayne's asking wtf is going on at Chelsea now!

85 changes in 16 matches lol

"Rooney believes it is up to captain Reece James and other experienced players in the Chelsea squad to address the issue with Maresca."

Have to ask the question:

Is there a captain and a group of experienced players capable of raising the issue with Maresca ?

Maybe another reason Maresca likes to keep chopping and changing things - doesn't want any little splinter groups forming to challenge his authority.

No Inigo Martinez was the one cleaning the mess and defensive lapses. Barca fans still upset about him leaving.

Cole is still recovering, but don't worry , the huge news is that...

Badiashile might be available soon !!

"Tuesday, Maresca said: "We hope so, but with Cole we try to plan, we try to schedule, you know, at the beginning. Then we need to review that. So , in this moment,in this moment we go day by day with Cole.

"He's not taking any session with the team. And we have Benoit Badiashile that probably can be available after the international break, and that is for us is a huge news."

37 minutes ago, Sconnie Blue said:

Oh yeah, that 1-3 games that Badiashile will play for us before he gets injured again is definitely huge news.

At least lavia will have some company the poor sod.

4 different signing? All of them fit into same category.

Club world cup

Nothing has changed. He has played players out of position for a long time. He has untouchable players who are rarely rested, and drops others if they so much as look at him funny. He regularly gets starting lineups wrong, meaning early subs are needed. Whoever he selects, he regularly gets us passing the ball between the defenders, at slow speed.

None of this is new. He is simply not a very good manager. He has been saved in big games by Cole Palmer on a number of occasions.

Sick of him.
