Can see why this lot are the 2nd string...should be called the Lullaby Squad...I dozed off twice....night and day between this lot and the first team.   No change from Mudryk, Cristo can't get in the game as with Neto, Felix trying but the rest are woeful..never understood the Dewsbury Hall signing..offers nothing.

Dewsbury-Hall's passing has been very disappointing since he signed. In this game, he has failed to pull off 3 passes in behind the defence, and he should have scored too. It's the reason why he hasn't looked like a Premier League player up to this point in his career.

I'm getting annoyed with badashile & didasi walking the ball forward already.

Seems to be a Maresca thing. Constantly looking for the press, but I never feel we look in control with it, and that goes for the first team defence too. It always looks like a mistake waiting to happen.

I'm just in time for the second half and have caught up with the thread, good to see most of the posts have been positive!

Great assist from Mudryk and a proper defender's header from Veiga! Gotta give kudos to KDH for the initial pass as well.

Come on boys.

He is a the original Grey man. He runs a lot which is a plus I suppose.

Carney would probably have looked like Maradona in that Leicester team last year.

Bright start, with Mudryk and particularly Neto looking quite lively on the wings, but we started playing a bit slow and safe, and tied to bull doze through the middle rather than using the wingers, who were out of the game for the last 20 minutes of that half as a result. You can see why Jackson starts at CF ahead of Nkunku, who has been completely anonymous.

Good first 25 minutes, not so great after that. Seems like we got overconfident, it made us sloppy. Everybody needs to just be a bit more careful on the ball in the second half.

This second half is really important.  If we have designs on being successful this season, we are going to have to overcome these low blocks. The second half of that half could have come from any number of games over the last 3 years. Now is the time for Maresca to show what he's about, to show that we have the movement and pattern to unlock these defences.

I can see our Forest game being very similar.

Started well, dominated them, but little end product. Every time Medryk or Neto get in behind, the crosses are just getting cut out.

He left a man for dead. A shoulder feint and he was gone like the wind.

If only he could be as positive as Madueke.

Took our foot off the gas as Mudryk drifted out of the game. Thought he did OK though and he seems to have his marker for pace. Keep him on and hopefully he can link up with Nkunku.  Casadai seems ineffective so maybe change him if nothing improves.

We've got to get it to Nkunku.

Yes Badiashile kills momentum but maybe Maresca can talk some sense into him. We do need the second .

I thought he's played pretty well and probably better than Felix and Neto over the first half!

Badiashile however!

He's dreadful. Neto and Felix have been sloppy but you can see their quality. Mudryk is just absolute trash as is Badishile

Surely we can't blame Nkunku for being anonymous when Disasi, Tosin, Casadei and the human ironing board just 5 yard passing it to each other whilst they have 5 defenders marking Nkunku.

Unpopular opinion, think Neto needs to do a lot more to displace Madueke.

For the spot this season? Aye he is blowing his chance here.

No matter what either of them do they both know Estevao us taking that right sided spot next season.

I agree it's unpopular but unfortunately I also agree with your comment. Same with regards Sancho on the other side.

Much of Neto body language reminds me over a namesake hero here. He needs to do a lot more to be the real Pedro
