19seventyone Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Good chance to solidify top 4 with today’s results. Some of the scores today give a better context to some of our previous results. Forest are a very decent side and if City or Liverpool don’t go in for him I fully expect us to sign Murillo from them. We have been after him both of the last 2 windows apparently. Also our win at Bournemouth looks like a great result when you consider Arsenal and City have both lost there.

Our win at Bournemouth was certainly a great result, but we were outplayed and rode our luck, but I'm not complaining ! We showed that even though we lost away to Liverpool, our young team have nothing to fear . I hope we go for it tomorrow, it's still the same Utd that lost 3-0 at home to Spurs, despite who the manager is. Come on you BLUES! Jah Blair, just and Simplymo 2 1

Apart from Wolves atleast one of the big six plus Villa and Newcastle have f**ked up one of the "easy" fixtures we won.
El regreso Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 After the results today I am now 100% sure we are not winning tomorrow. We are not that lucky at all!!
SimonH Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 They will totally be on a bounce with a new manager inbound and will need to impress. I’m worried. Come on Chels!
axman2526 Posted November 2, 2024 Author Posted November 2, 2024 The weight of expectation is on us. Can the players handle it? No pressure on United at all. ETH is gone, new manager not here, Ruud is just the gatekeeper. This one is season defining for us I believe.
The Boehly Babes Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Agreed this is a must win with how todays results have fallen. Tables never been tighter.

The sheer cockyness, or rather arrogance, of some of our fan base is a concern. Football has a way of slapping you down to reality when you act that way.
Bebe1980 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 If we beat Manure we could be 3rd tonight, challenging for the title and fighting to get our place back in the CL... our biggest game for years - lets hope we don't pussyfoot around go for it ! Sexyfootball and Jah Blair 2
JM7 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Unfortunately I think new manager bounce will have too much of an impact and we’ll lose. We can’t keep clean sheets and United will be buzzing. Annoying timing given how bad they’ve been. The Don Antonio, axman2526 and El regreso 1 2

We rode our luck, but we did exceptionally well to win that considering we had several absences that games. Both Gusto and James injured. Enzo, Lavia and KDH all unavailable also so Veiga had to play in midfield. The Rising Sun 1
petre ispirescu Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 So it is more than 4 years since Arsenal have won their last trophy, the FA Cup, the one and only since the supposed revolutionary manager Arteta took over. Since that moment, Chelsea have won the UCL, gone through hell because of the takeover, regrouped, came back to life and reshaped the squad completely, unlocked a hidden gem and future superstar in Cole Palmer and have now the youngest squad in the league and probably one of the most exciting ones in world football together with Barcelona as both are packed with tons of raw talent. And still, Chelsea could potentially go 3rd today and two points ahead of Arsenal, the supposed title contenders, after only 10 rounds. What I see this season from Arsenal is Tony Pulis' Stoke brand of football and Arteta still gets a free pass. All the other PL clubs will have probably changed their managers once or twice before Arteta wins a major trophy with Arsenal. The Rising Sun, Bebe1980, STATS and 1 other 4

Gordon Bennett Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Maresca needs to give Sanchez a proper punch in the gut and tell him to sort himself out. No excuses. Simplymo and Jah Blair 1 1
PhilH930 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Not a happy hunting ground for us these days - believe our last win at Old Trafford in the league was 2013. Big test of emotion and effort today. They’ll go for every ball, every tackle, every second ball. How much do Chelsea want it. A draw would be good result given the circumstances, but we have to start showing more quality in big matches and get some wins.
Bebe1980 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Who's the ref - seems to be half the battle for us these days...?

nonotnowjim Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Game day - here we go. The team I want to see: Jorgensen Reece Fofana Colwill Cucu Lavia Caicedo Neto Madueke Palmer Nkunku Assume Sancho can't play because on loan?

One of ours to be sent off and United to get a pen. 7 hours ago, JM7 said: Unfortunately I think new manager bounce will have too much of an impact and we’ll lose. Not only this but how arrogantly overconfident several of fans have been, predicting huge wins and saying we must do it because Spurs did it. That is just asking for the football fates to slap us down. I would understand it if we were taking that prime Jose team, or Carlos team, to United. Rock solid defence and goals in every department, with a bedrock of leadership and experience. We are not though, we are taking the youngest PL side ever to a red hot pressure cooker. I am fearing our backline and Sanchez playing out from the back and being pressed in to giving cheap, key goals away. Simplymo 1
