Ederson is as sh*te as Sanchez.

Have to disagree with this.

My eyes hold told me for a while that Sanchez is one of the worst in the league and now there’s the data as proof that he makes the most errors.

Even Maresca can’t defend him, play anyone but him in the next game, even a youth goalkeeper.

Chances win games, the key moment was in the fifth minute, score and we win

The next 90 mins though showed no presence up front, we simply need a player who can score but more importantly hold the ball up

Having a clown in the nets doesn’t help

What were the tactics today? Suicidal

We aren’t anywhere near ready for Champions League football, Europa lLeague via a Conference Trophy is our best shot

You can remove his captaincy and yet nothing will be fixed, i have no doubt that having no striker and having a weak defense are far bigger issues than Enzo being captain.

The mentality of the club is the biggest issue. That comes from the owners downwards and is proven by many things, including making some captain who, only weeks prior, was involved in an incident of racism. A fantastic look for the club.

Then be prepared to not watch us for a while.

Maresca is who he is, he has his way. Leicester fans told us this much, told us the second half of the season would be a struggle.

Is baffling so many are surprised by this

That's what's baffling to me. During the first half of the season Maresca actually showed he can make in-game tweaks and not persist with the same thing over and over again.

Everything turned 180 degrees from Christmas onwards. What the hell happened is the real mystery.

That second half was utterly dire. Not a single person took the initiative and we never looked like scoring.

Get a Goal Keeper and a Forward in asap otherwise this season is just training.

Just to point out that if we had Haaland and Ederson, and Man C had our respective muppets, then we are winning this game with relative ease.

Error, well yeah. And if we had Saliba and Gabriel  we'd keep a clean sheet as well.

Mind you I suspect that even with all these players, playing Maresca's tactics and Iraola could still hand his arse to him, just with little old Bournemouth

Seeing a lot of very strong reactions here which are understandable but still wrong for me. Calling our manager and players horrible names like 'bald fraud' is over the top and just not something I think we should be doing as a fanbase.

This is a very young team and a lack of solid mentality and knowing how to manage games comes with that. Maresca has his reasons for tactical choices and player selection and it's always towards the future of the club, rather than focused on one one game. We have seen a lot of improvement in the team compared to the last two seasons and I believe we'll eventually become a fantastic team but until the we will have moments like this.

Don't get me wrong, we are in a crisis and we need to be better but I think it was always part of the plan to buy young talent and figure out who's good enough by giving them a chance - what we're seeing is a feature, not a bug. In that vein of thought, Sanchez has maybe finally proven he's not up to the job of a too-class goalkeeper and Jackson needs another striker to take the burden off him when he's off form.

I strongly believe that if we had the Tiago Silva from last season in this team (or possibly even this season's?), we'd be 10x more resilient and comfortably sitting in the top four. We definitely have some problems in key positions (GK being the most pressing), but this team is just lacking in grit and character.

I was watching that thinking no way that would happen if we had Jose or someone as manager! I get they get on, but they just beat us 3-1 and you're out there whispering sweet nothings with Pep after everyone had already gone in! Jose or Conte would've gone mental!

Not defending Maresca but we’ve seen this slump with approximately the same timing several times in the last 15 years-  different times, squads & circumstances of course, RA would be seeking a replacement. I think that’s pointless currently and furthest from anybodys minds at Clearfake. It’s fast becoming the opposite of last season.

ended as I thought it would a 3-1 defeat

we were so poor today. poorly prepared, poorly led. there have to be questions as to whether Maresca is the right person to take the team forward

Seemed to work ok at the start but I think he's alienated a lot of the players by sticking with certain players that don't deserve a regular spot.

i.e. Sanchez, Jackson, Noni, Enzo ... having said that the team is crying out for a decent striker and goalie ... and has been for a long time now - wtf are management doing about getting us some back up.

Maresca's other problem is he doesn't appear to have a plan B 😞

A competent striker and we’re 3-0 up, different game.

A competent keeper and it stays 1-1, different game.

We’ve been screaming out for those positions strengthening all season and today it really really showed

f**k Sanchez.

Our formation only suits maybe 3 of our players.

Cucu, Caicedo, and maybe Noni.

Id argue a 4-3-3 would suit our players in general much much better. We are much better suited to counter rather than a possession based game.

Cucu might be the only player who could struggle in a 4-3-3.

Our front 4 are far too rigid. Having a front 3 gives Enzo a position where his defensive frailties aren’t as important as he’d be the midfielder supporting the front 3. Palmer could roam a bit more too.

A 4-3-3 allows our full backs to get forward down the wings.

We could also sell most of the wingers as we’d have much less need of them.

Get back to what we’ve traditionally been good at which is attacking wide wing backs giving width to 3 attackers who can be fluid in their positions.

Thoughts?

Give me a break..'young team and lacking mentality'.... fed up with this generation being 'fragile' and can't take adversity..want everything on a plate, including the 100k a week for kicking a piece of leather around...they need to fkcuing grow up and start taking some responsibility for their actions..or lack thereof in their case.  They should be rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in....but I guess if they did that they'd get cold arms and we'd have to give them arm warmers and gloves...most fkcuing pathetic lot I'm seen over the last 55 years..
