SSC Napoli vs Chelsea (UCL) Wednesday 28th January 20:00 GMT

Poor first half - put that on Rosenior. Once we got out of our own way they were good. James, Santos, Enzo, Estevao, And Joao Pedro all looked good, and Palmer was immediately impactful.

Fofana was poor. We need to get Colwill fit and buy a decent CB, drop Fofana down to rotate. Gittens also concerns me - just doesn’t ever seem to impact the game.

Great win, and fantastic to reach the knockout stages and avoid the playoff games.

It was a tale of two halves, with the second half being excellent. Joao Pedro's quality shone through in this match.

Best wishes to @Sexyfootball on the health front.

I thought more 3 halfs (😅) as the first 20-25 minutes we looked pretty comfortable as Napoli couldnt figure out how to get through our set up. Conte made changes and moved them up the pitch and found the weakness in the formation and then took the game away from us for the next 20-25 minutes. We then made changes at Half time as you say and looked much better.

Hopefully Rosenior learns from this and realises just picking the best players in a simple formation that suits them like the 2nd half works well enough to top dicking around.

Calm down everyone. Can't you feel it? This is clearly going to be one of those Classic Champions League NightsTM

There's still an hour left and more barmy stuff is going to happen. Sit back, enjoy, and attempt the iconic.

Dziekuje Take a bow @PloKoon13

We were really sh*t in the first half because, once again, we decided to do a bunch of tinkering. 2nd half we controlled the game and the quality of Palmer and Pedro won us the game. We can avoid all of this fuss if we just build a side that is used to playing together instead of changing them in every single game.

Note to LR ....this.

They had a minor incident about 2000 years ago. Alert: bars still haven't reopened.

A little harsh, he lost his footing, too much of an easy target.

But he did loose the ball and did nearly cost us the game.. Trying to be clever instead of clearing the ball?

It didn't look like he was trying to be clever. Did he make a mistake, yes, but too many on here are to quick to crucify him for any little thing.

Match day threads are a hoot. Massive knee-jerk over-reactions often made to look stupid later. Sometimes wonder how some of these geezers make it through their real-life day.

😁 Yeah I forgot to read them earlier...

Well I’m sitting in the stands thinking wtf is going on

What I will say is that LR has someone behind him who is in his ear a lot ? Anyone see that ?

I noticed that - McFarlane I think

But also questioned why he got it so badly wrong in the first place and why it took an hour to make an obvious change. Should have been made after 20 minutes.

Maybe he gave Maresca a call before the game ?

We will see.
