Buy in bulk of potenial assests and some will probably make them some money.
May 24May 24 Oh reports are that Xabi will earn 13mill euros (about 11.5mill pounds) a year with us.Real were paying 9mill euros per year.Have to say I honestly did not expect he would put a big fat pay day ahead of his career but perhaps he believe he will still land a big job after his time with us ends.

May 24May 24 Alonso is in the most powerful position any Chelsea manager would be in considering the amount of pressure the board are under to make this appointment work. If I was him I’d have them dancing to the tune of my fiddle or I walk

May 24May 24 Conflicted between thinking he’s walked into a right mess and also it’s a majorly underperforming group that could be quite easily whipped into shape. With no midweek games and a full pre season there is no real excuses for not coming in the champions league places.

Money involved within the club seems to have little care for them. We have dropped how much from no front of shift sponsor alone.100% massive credit to those 100 or so who did protest. We need more though. We need the match going fanbase on mass to be doing this, not just the 1%.
May 25May 25 Author Alonso is the only person giving me hope of a better future at the club.If the owners and sporting directors fail him, there's going to be a reckoning.

May 25May 25 At least two things in his favor .. some of his best players will get a complete rest and full pre seaso. in palmer jao colwill ..one game a week- so if he can get his first team right no need to rotate.

They have accepted no personal responsibility from what I can tell to move us on.I’ll be relatively kind and say 6 need moving on without hesitation, Gusto, Fofana, Delap, Garnacho, Sanchez, Badiashile. There’s always an argument for others Cucurella for example but maybe Alonso might be able to get to him.I’m hopeful he will lay down ground rules and show there is a consequence to poor decision making.Good luck to this season and I look forward to to August as I always do with hope and optimism.KTBFFHWhat consequences? They are on super long contract and they are competing against kids
May 25May 25 Massive job on his hands. We have been atrocious and this team needs a clear out with proper experience and leadership.Maybe having one game a week will be a blessing in disguise

If Garnacho cannot perform the basic function of control and passing and is unwilling to bust his lungs running, then I'd play Derry instead. What's the cost? In fact not throwing these players away and playing the kids instead sends the wrong message as to what is the acceptable standard. The minimum standards line needs to be drawn and if a player consistently fails to meet that standard he cannot play. Simple as. It's about creating a team, regardless of the merits and worth of any of the individuals within it.

That will be unfair to those academy kids.

Do you honestly think every single players attitude and standard is in the bin so we should throw the lot away. Get a grip. Life doesn't work like that. A couple of examples made, a clear distinction of what expectations are and the standards to be maintained and most of this group will get the message quick enough. Trust me not one of these players got to the position they are now in displaying this level of technical ineptitude and disinclination to run as much as possible for each other. Nobody in academy football or their previous clubs would have give them this amount of leeway. If it means some high profile players are moved on, some bigger egos suddenly find themselves second choice to squad players willing to put a shift in, then so be it.

Let's play some kid from academy, what happen if the kid struggle ? Do you keep playing him? Forget Garnacho, a lot of games this season, Palmer looks like he didn't bother playing. Are you going to play Delap, Garnacho over him? No chance.

No chance. No point engaging with you yet again. I am talking about setting a required standard of application and instilling that standard in the mindset of the entire dressing room. What is it about this concept, that exists in all successful dressing rooms that you are not grasping.
May 25May 25 Why didn't this appointment take place immediately? When rosenior was sacked, there were still games to play for, never mind the FA cup final, the CL qualification was still possible or at least europa league can be easily guaranteed with a competent manager at the helm.
May 25May 25 I said as soon as we sacked LR, Xabi Alonso was the only choice, so credit where credit is due, this is 1st managerial decision that i have agreed with under this ownership. So I'm willing to extend some good will over the summer, and then see if they make some more correct decisions.Focus now is on giving Alonso a team that is capable of winning the league. I am not buying into this 3 year project anymore. 1 game a week, sell half the squad, dont be greedy, and push the boat out for quality in a few positions. We are more than capable of doing it in 1 summer, we have seen these lot change most the squad in a january window before, and even without CL football, you can bring in top players, if you pay them, and with Xabi Alonso convincing them, once one big name comes the rest will follow.Squad doesnt need to be massive.
