Really don't understand what's going on there. They win the EL, qualify for the CL through their own right with PL position and then proceed to basically gut their team. Don't get it is it all to do with PSR?

Their on-field success has actually hurt them financially. Player purchases, high wages (91% of club income), have outstripped their pretty average commercial income relative to the clubs around them.

PSR/ffp is a disgrace. Like all restrictions authorities place on us they are done for our own protection haha, to stop clubs overspending their own money. bo**ocks.

The nanny state designed to keep the elites where they are while patronisingly telling people it’s for their own good.

Premier League teams will take the knee again this season...

Players will once again take the knee this season in the Premier League

Virtue signaling nonsense

Dunno where else to post this...

FC Shakhtar Donetsk will play their home matches in the UEFA Champions League at Stamford Bridge during the 2026/27 season.

Shakhtar have played their European home fixtures in several cities across the continent in recent seasons, including Hamburg and Warsaw. This season, Stamford Bridge will provide the setting for their Champions League campaign in London.

Is this real? That's one way to get european football back at the Bridge. We'll be a laughing stock for it.

Good championship team -v- PL winners. Is anyone surprised?

Tbf, expected more fight, Arsenal at home or not, we’ve seen it before with promoted teams, seems Frank has A LOT to do. No fairytales here.

Sunderland have really set the bench mark in terms of scouting out and paying what’s necessary to compete. Coventry have given it a go in the window, but nowhere near enough.

Coventry should be calling both us and Arsenal asap for Josh/Mudryk and Nwaneri, they won't be able to cope in the PL with that squad.

Coventry tried for both players with us, but our owners are putting self interests before player development. They are trying to convince Murdyk to go on loan to Strasbourg instead of the PL who are in a bigger mess. They got hammered 4-0 last night by Marseille.
