June 13Jun 13 I know pundit's would probably describe the American game and the Canadian game as " lacking quality 'But " quality" these days translates into being able to slow the game, maintain possession, play endless passes to each other and avoid risk.Give me the games of continuously going forward without all the possession based, slow sh*te that supposed 'quality " teams are able to play .

Tailgating at the NFL games is much more interseting than the actual game in all honesty.I think the yanks are also trying to squeeze in some ads during the "water breaks" AND i think for the Final there will be a longer break at Half-time (25-30 minutes) with a show similar to what they have with the Superb Owl. . .Super Bowl. Performers singing, etc. Edited June 13Jun 13 by TheCeleryKing

June 13Jun 13 Lots of empty seats Switzerland v Qatar. I wonder if the cameraman is under instructions to keep his lens down towards pitch level.

As I, and we all said, back to football! 🙂Does Brazil get off to a good start or the ego of Vini derail the squad? Still can’t believe JP isn’t in that squad, and wish pre injury Estevao was there also. Edited June 13Jun 13 by PhilH930
June 13Jun 13 I appreciate this is probably not the finest Brazil side to go to a World Cup, but this Morocco side do look pretty decent. A lovely goal they just scored too.
June 13Jun 13 Can see why we we were after Bouaddi, ridiculous talent and just 18. Might be Arsenal bound this summer for €70m.

Can’t say I know much about him, but see he recently switched from French to Moroccan nationality. One to keep an eye on
June 13Jun 13 Brazil team is stacked with top league talent, but not quite the global superstars we once saw. Maybe players are just more accessible now and playing in PL so less mystique, but the days of Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, R Carlos, Cafu seem a lifetime ago.

He is due to stand trial next year.I wish the headline was more "Arsenal rapist denied entry into Canada" - just for the PR spin. I mean the headline would be something like that IF he was a Chelsea player.Nobody in their right mind would support Trump, ICE, immigration insanity etc. BUT it is hard to feel sorry for Rapey Partey.BREAKING: Thomas Partey named new US Attorney General.
June 14Jun 14 Scotland manager Steve Clarke was asked about the nervy nature of his side's 1-0 win over Haiti, and what that might mean to their chances of progression from a group that also includes Brazil and Morocco. His response was emphatic, defiant and resolute."Listen, everybody told us it was a must win game...and we've won it," he said."Not many Scottish teams win when it comes to the World Cup. My boys are all right."In other words, you lot can go and f**k yourselves!😀

Find it weird Arteta is going for another player with a physical profile. You would think after the PSG he would add some technician that they are missing in the middle of the park. They are screwed once the PL clamp down on their dark arts which should be very soon.

Absolute monster performance from him last night. Lost count of the times he faded or dropped a shuolder in his box to skin Brazilians, ran midfield last night. insane game pulling the strings. I thought Morocco looked very good last night, a bit lightweight but played some wonderful stuff. (actually sat through the Qatar game as well... wish i hadnt but glad they got a goal)

Haiti were physical, unpredictable, but massively limited within cooee of goal. They had 15 shots on goal to Scotland's 9. Didn't help that McTominay was obviously less than 100% but you've got a lot of work to do, Steve. Get on with it.
June 14Jun 14 Something does need to be done about World Cup qualification though. Just flicking through my lovely little Panini sticker book and Italy, Denmark & Poland aren’t present but Curacao(?), Iraq and Cape Verde are.I get you’ve got to have equal representation or whatever from the continents but that just baffles me, you want the BEST 48 not the most diverse IMO.
