Is water wet? Of course I've seen Donnie Darko! Got it on DVD. Adore it.

The Hobbit The Battle of the Five Armies. It was underwhelming in certain areas, but overall I really enjoyed it... I admit that The Hobbit trilogy is inferior to The Lord of the Rings (most things are), but that doesn't mean to say they're bad movies. It's without a doubt the best film I've seen this year.

New Transofmers film, I had no idea what the hell was happening half the time. Though that could be because I`m not that bright.

Yesterday my sister in law made me go to see Annie - sentimental bilge!!

Indeed it is! That is two too many!

Why they made Annie black I don't know... Couldn't be further removed from what the character is supposed to look like. 

 

Next they'll be casting Russel Brand as the new Shaft.

I do wonder why there is`nt any british 2nd WW war films being made...maybe not glamorous enough.

They have done that. I really think that a lot of our war films are a cut above - Battle of the River Plate, Dunkirk, Sea of Sand, The Foreman Went To France, Went The Day Well?

The worst US War Film re. WW2 is U571 as it took the true story of the Royal Navy bravely seizing the Enigma machine from a sinking U Boat, with sailors being drowned in the process, and made it into a planned intercept/gun battle bollocks done by the USN.

Really enjoyed Things We Do In The Shadows recently, a spoof fly on the wall documentary about a group of vampire flatmates living in Wellington, New Zealand. It was written by and starred a few of the people from Flight of the Concords so if you enjoyed that then you'll know what to expect. I loved it, especially the scenes with the hilariously prudish werewolves.

Dead Man Walking, via Netflix. Good film, enjoyed it, thought both Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn were superb.

Nope us Yanks couldn't have done anything without Dunkirk, The Battle of Britain & El_Alamein. Also D-Day couldn't happen w/out proper planning & coordination from the Brits. We know the score, it's just Hollywood trying to scrounge up a couple of million of bucks. Don't take it personal.

Watching Man of Steel. Its everything Superman Returns should have been. The fight against Zod at the end does go on for a bit too long but otherwise it's great.

Snowpiercer - Was all right, though the premise was a bit ridiculous.

Enemy - Very confusing.

Horrible Bosses 2, surprisingly it was actually pretty funny, possibly better than the first.

That was my only gripe about Man of Steel, the climax just went on & on & on!

Wasn't a fan of Man of Steel thought it was quite boring and they didn't build up the character as much as they should have.

I thought Man of Steel was okay but plodded along a bit.

Was a decent watch in the cinema but I went to rewatch it recently and switched off after about 30 minutes.
