July 8, 20179 yr Not trying to rile anyone up but if all of you chide the "football agent" and dismiss everything he says as it's all out in the public domain why are you all even getting worked up at all? Right enough we all know the stadium is on the horizon, chelsea is being run as a business, ......etc. Does it not make sense that we will cut back on spending somewhere which will be player transfers and wages. Abramovic is a billionaire that owns a club which is more than just a toy or fad for him. Do you think he will not overule anyone on spending if he thinks he should? This comes with the responsible ownership model we've been wanting and if it means not paying ridiculous amounts so we can focus on the stadium development so be it.

I don't think anyone is worked up with him or disagree with what you're saying. Sometimes it's fun to poke holes at statements of trolls

What was wrong is after the stadium was complete and they sold exorbitant tickets they didn't invest in the team any longer even when they were back into profitability. It was ok for their management (not the fans)as their football objectives were based on being in the top 4. Now they've fallen outside of it and push has come to shove they've smashed their transfer record. That is football from an owner business model perspective. As fans it's different but that's key. We are fans, they own the club. Football is now bigger than when fans income through tickets bore a direct relationship to running the club like paying players wages and all that.
July 8, 20179 yr There are too many rumors about Matic transferring to Man Untd and honestly i'm not that happy with such a move. "Jose Mourinho has told Chelsea that he wants to know whether a deal for Nemanja Matic is possible within the next 48 hours" Cannot find confirmation for this, did someone heard something? Chelsea are not Arsenal. Chelsea's owner is not that of Arsenal, past or present. When Abramovich acquired Chelsea, he spelt it out plain and simple, it wasn't a business venture, and wasn't to make money, he intended to have fun. He even said he had other things that made him money. Thankfully for him (and us) over the last 10 years he has made Chelsea a global brand and now his asset is worth north of 1bn. Thats not to say he will TOTALLY bank roll the new SB, but I'm willing to bet lots of money the Lions share will come from his back pocket. Just because the club had the savvy not to fork out 100m on a poor mans Drogba who has yet to get close to proving himself world class, that doesn't mean there is a decade of 'Gooneresque' penny pinching, belt tightening on its way.
July 8, 20179 yr Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward are doing all they can to persuade Bakayoko's brother to enter negotiations for his transfer to Man Utd. Chelsea have agreed a £34m deal with Monaco the medical has still not taken place, Agent fees to his brother will be higher at Man Utd. Man Utd are yet to place a bid until they get a positive response from Bakayoko and his brother. The Matic interest is a smokescreen IMO
July 8, 20179 yr I think it's best for my mental health if I just ignore social media transfer gossip for the next month.

July 8, 20179 yr So with two days left before the preseason begins we haven't made amy signings except for the 35 year old Yul Brynner impersonator. How delightful.

It is all over twitter at this moment 'Mourinho hijacking deal' I was first to reveal it - you are the disbelievers

July 8, 20179 yr Apparently, Madrid are offering Morata and James for £132m? What do you guys think of that deal? Any truth to it? Would you accept? Personally, I think if they throw in Danilo and add an extra £15m, I think it'd be a pretty good deal.

Personally, I think it's a good one but would require another system change

July 8, 20179 yr Morata would be a decent purchase however not sure how James could be incorporated into 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. With 3-4-3 he may be pushed out wide which makes him less of a threat and with 3-5-2 I can't see him being played behind the main striker instead of Hazard.

The way things are going it seems, all our targets are or will be hijacked, by someone else who has money to burn despite or good or bad the player is....looks like we may well up with sloppy seconds before the season starts.
July 9, 20179 yr If we don't have new signings to announce when the ore-season starts next week, I'd say our transfer dealing are f*, and we will going into panic mode. We won't have the luxury of extra training time this season, the pre-season will be vital. Even if we manage to sign a couple of big names just before the deadline, I could see us struggle as new players will inevitably take weeks or months to settle in. We aren't going to win the title in the first 2 months, and we could lose it ( like 2 seasons ago)

I have proved more than you wrong in the past, on this forum as well as others. i will walk when I feel it is right, when you realise that my information is true. i will not react to childish comments, it is easy to sit behind a computer and aim insults to people who join the forum. Face to face as my personal friend Tommy Robinson the old leader of the EDL who is now being heard at last for speaking the truth, you would bottle it, I am a Chelsea fan, was there when Wisey scored in the San Siro and have played golf with players in charity events as well as ventured in a few Casino's in Kensington to strike deals. I am more connected with Chelsea FC than you will ever dream of son. Yes I maybe am wrong to get a kick out of this, however I know Chelsea fans like you, who react like a coward giving it all the big one, in fact cannot accept negative or more to the point the truth about Chelsea FC Nothing I have said has proved to be incorrect yet, did I jump on the Lukaku bandwagon, no How many of you got all excited when sky sports news said Chelsea matched Man Utd's offer ? It was 8 hours wasted in your lives !
July 9, 20179 yr Haha off course you would be mates with Tommy Robinson. Give it a rest mate, nobody cares

He too claimed that he was in the know at Chelsea...he turned out to be a pubescent kid from Leeds who got lucky with some predictions...are you his younger bother mate? Marching on together smelling of chicken mcnuggets and haribo? Edited July 9, 20179 yr by doctorblue
