Honestly, now that I look at it more rationally, I don't think anyone would be willing to pay €75m for Rodriguez. He doesn't really fill any serious need for any of the teams that could stump up the cash.

Why wouldn't they? It's Morata and his camp that may feel aggrieved either with Perez for being unreasonably greedy or with ManU for unwilligness to pay the fee and going after Lukaku instead.

1.4 bil coming out of Manchester... City have somehow found a way around FFP for good and United are starting to realize they essentially have a blank check every summer because their golden days (years) coincided with the PL blowing up.

Which is adding up to 18 slots , this is with the assumptions that we get Bakayoko and Costa is not a part of the squad (though that does not change much).

 Point being if we keep Zouma, then we would have to look for HG transfer options for 2 of these 4 positions (LWB, RWB, 2nd Striker, 3rd Striker) and I dont think there are any good viable Homegrown options here (except for OX for RWB but arsenal are demanding 40mil pounds apparently).

If anything then we need to get rid of one more possibly Eduardo for Blackman.

I think he will count as home grown when he reaches the age of 21, i'm not sure though, i don't know how long he has been at the club for.

But because he isn't 21 yet, it doesn't really matter at the moment. He can be registered with the squad without worrying about the home grown rule.

    Looks like Costa hasn't returned for pre-season training...he apparently has been given special dispensation for his absence...AM have apparently upped their offer for him to 30m euros...about half what we're looking for...

    Personally I believe his transfer is only a few days away, hence the reason for an extra few days off from training, and keeping his "influence", good or bad, away from the other players.

    He wants to stay, but accepts there is no future for him at Chelsea. He fell out with Conte and Conte has had enough.

    The striker’s potential transfer to Atletico Madrid is being negotiated now.

    If he's not going to bother returning then sell him asap. Would love it if he apologized and stayed even if it meant he'd go back next summer but after reports like that then he can leave. Hope he doesn't come back fat so that Atleti won't reject him
