Don't think Morata had any choice or Deulofeu...but maybe it's different in Spain?

I'm not certain they didn't have a choice, perhaps it was just a very smooth option for both, certainly Morata.

I think if the player has no choice it is effectively 3rd party ownership which is 100% not allowed in England.

If it was in the contract they signed at the time then it may be enforceable...Morata came back from Italy and Deulofeu from England so it seems enforceable across countries...

But there's nothing to suggest either of those was not just a case of both players being happy to agree to move back.

A buyback clause is effectively a reduced release clause for one specific club. I would be almost certain the player is not bound by it.

Doh, even Arsenal managed to sign a meaningful player before us, what's hack is going on there? I know we have supposedly wrapped up 2 players, but they aren't done until ink on paper and the photo shoot. I don't think there's much truth in United agreed the deal with Lukaku, if they are hoping for 100M, why settle for 75M? Anyway, we will pay through the roof to get that deal.

I'm not really into signing llorente. Why not just keep Batshuayi?

Think Llorente would happily accept being part of the squad. Bats probably eager to play a lot more football after last season.

Getting Llorente for a season or two and letting Bats loose on the rest of the Prem on loan seems like the best of both worlds to me.

Said on other thread that Llorente would be big downgrade if he was to come in as our main striker (can't imagine anyone would be so silly as to let that happen).

If he was being brought in as back-up I would rather keep Bats as No. 2 / first striker on bench to throw on.

Bats is 24 though. A loan seems pointless. Surely we would be able to keep 2 strikers happy with the amount of fixtures we have this season. It looks like there will be 5/6 new faces coming in, changing bats for llorente seems unnecessary. Too many ins and outs is bound to effect team morale, and cohesion, which was one of our key strengths last season.

I'm thinking two strikers in Morata and Llorente with Bats on loan somewhere like Newcastle or West Ham.

I think it would be madness to let Bats go out on loan...if Conte goes to a 352 then he'll need 3 strikers to cope with the increased volume and quality of games this season...

From what I've seen I would quite like Belotti with Costa due to head back to Madrid. I've not seen very much of Belotti but what I've seen I've really liked. The geezer loves the ball in the air, seems handy with both feet and is good at riding quite a few challenges.

What a let down that would be, after being linked with Lukaku, Morata, etc.. if we end up with Llorente as our main striker..

Wonder if United went back in for Lukaku after Real had this rumoured meeting about Morata? Could be Zidanes wish for him to stay has been granted so United turned to their second option?

If so how did they get him so quick after deciding that and we couldn't get it done

Stuck record I know, but who says that we wanted it done in the first place?

Everyone who is supposed to know what they are talking about but I guess most of them are just guessing
