That's true. JT is a good example. My view is that we have too few left footers in general (particularly if Matic and Ake leave) and not that many players comfortable with both feet outside of attack. 

I also think we are in serious trouble of having a very small squad in the CL and PL because we don't meet the homegrown requirements. In my view that needs to be considered in our recruitment strategy. 

You need 8 in the CL (4 club trained 4 nation trained)

We need 8 in PL

From what I can see we only have Moses, Fabregas, Christensen, Chalobah and Cahill. Only 2 of those are club trained. Lukaku might add another one.

Gibson helps with both, but he wouldn't necessarily improve our quality although he did have a good season. Although we could just keep Ake like sensible folk...

That would seem like the sensible thing to do but gotta trust Conte knows what he's doing. Maybe we're in for a surprise and he names quite a few young players in the squad and actually uses them

According to German sources Chelsea are monitoring Hoffenheim defender Jeremy Toljan 22...he's been offered a new contract by Hoffenheim but there's talk he wants a move this summer...can play as a LB or RB/RWB...seen him in the U21 tournament this summer and he had a terrific game against us in the semi finals...think Juventus and Napoli have been interested in him too...Joe Tweeds's view on him...

Hope it's not another 'Bayern beat us to him' story. I'm all for german talent but once Bayern Munich comes into the picture ultimately they'll be the player's choice even Barca and Real lose against them from time to time

I thought they had Rafinha and is trying for Gnabry? I don't really expect anything of rumours from Germany.

It might seem bleak but every German talent who will be/is world class will be hoovered up by Bayern doesn't even matter if the guy has 5yrs left or 1 month left, when Bayern comes in Bayern gets.

Being linked with BM Jerome Boateng...a very good CB for sure but we really need someone who's comfortable on the left of back 3 or play LB...Boateng and Rudiger are great players but not sure they'll be what we need on the left...does anyone know if Christensen has played on the left for BM?

I think he has played LCB in a four but he mainly plays RCB. I think he's best suited to play the middle of the three but it's gonna be hard to dislodge Luiz

It was always going to be that tho, we knew there's no way the club will withheld anyone from signing early on since too many factors can creep in.

Never heard so much BS in my life....FFS this is getting too comical for words now.....it says a lot though, that even as league champions and CL next year we are seemingly finding it difficult to get any signings across the line.....mind you apart from City our direct rivals seem to be struggling also.   Is that because the EPL clubs are flush with cash and agents together with clubs are just asking out of this world prices?   I guess the EPL is now paying the price for success.

This sh*tty media. We're pennypinching on Sandro but going 176 on Lukaku and Alli when everyone knows Levy will skin us of every drop of our transfer budget for any Tottenham player. If we have 176m to burn might as well do it for both Kane and Alli. It'd help us comply with HG instantly without a shred of doubt.

I do think this would be a good signing as he could also challenge Willian and Pedro for that right wing spot. The right wing position worries me slightly because I haven't seen us linked with too many players for the position, yet I think strengthening there should be one of our priorities. 

Not for me, I don't rate Chamberlain. He's just bang average in every position.

He runs an out a lot and is quick. That's about it.

A more muscular Walcott with worse finishing.

He'll be a good ballboy for us. As a player tho, depends on which spectrum of demographic you're on I'd expect a reaction of "Oh, he's available ?" to "Meh".
