I agree a new option would be good to freshen up the attack and give more options and also handy while Hazard recuperates.

Good to know though I thought the James and Barkley ones had died away. Get the feeling if we do get this player it might be after July 1st.

We are though uber conservative about announcements, preferring to wait until all i's are dotted and t's crossed. I think people should at least put their expectations off till after the weekend, i.e. Monday 3rd. At the very, very least.

I've seen this reported in the Spanish papers (As, Marca,...). Atlético de Madrid were interested in Vitolo but Sevilla is not keen in selling to a direct rival, plus Atl Madrid is banned from buying players until Christmas. In addition, they report that Sevilla would be interested in Zouma and Batshuayi, so there could be an exchange. The price tag for Vitolo is 40€.

Vitolo is 27 and unproven in the EPL...his stats for Sevilla are 118 appearances and only 15 goals...hardly prolific...besides his release clause is £35m so why do we have to sell our younger players for him? All in all, no thanks would rather keep Zouma and Bats, and go all out for Sanchez...

i can't help but think looking for attackers is a better option than focusing on so many defensive players. we rely on hazard a hell of a lot to create, which is why we need other players to do their part. hazard won't be available for first month of the season, so i think it's crucial we get in another top attacking player. i don't know much about vitolo, but doesn't sound like what we need at all considering he plays on the left (where hazard plays) and is a natural right footer, which we already have enough of. these rumours are vague as sh*t anyway.

Kostas Monolas has failed to turn up for his medical at Zenit...there's talk about that he wants to be paid in euros not roubles as euros are a more stable currency...could it be another Willian swoop event?

Could be Bats leading the line if Everton price Lukaku out of the market...personally I'd like to see Morata in that line up playing in a front two...Lukaku and Morata with Hazard behind them...umm

The question was in the 1st-2nd month of the new season assuming Hazard is still injured/recovering fitness but I see your point

Yes when Eden is fit, but i think the original point is what will we do whilst he's injured for the first couple of months of the league.

Manolas to Zenit deal has collapsed, because of interest from us or not I'd snap him up for 20m pounds in a heartbeat.

Not a world class defender but an upgrade on Cahill. Would rather spend 25M on him than 70M on VVD personally.
