Napoli want 40 mln EUR for Koulibaly. Not that terrible given Man Utd were willing to give the same amount for Baiilly, who is far from a finished product and not as good, while we were more than willing to pay more than that for a less talented Stones.

Whoever get's him will have LB covered for years, he's a top player. Another player i would be gutted to miss out on.

I agree. Far far better than Stones. i read online that it's 40m euros also? That actually works out a really decent deal. That's around 30-32m of my maths is correct.

They're expected to sign Laporte in the next few days. Rodriguez would solve a weaker area for them. Laporte and Kompany would be outrageous of Kompany can stay fit. Can't see Mangala staying and Otamendi is a lot better than his first season appeared. I don't think they're covered at right back though as both are ageing. He will probably go out and sign someone there too.

Im worried about this season already. City have a decent squad and Pep could win the league with those players. He's adding quality though already and hasn't even officially taken charge yet.

Take your point but it's a squad game. Need at least 4 cbs in my view.

Zouma, Koulibaly, Christiansen and Clarke-Salter looks handy in two seasons time.

We aren't shelling out money like we used to when Roman first came.  We are more like the Arsenal of old -- reluctant to make high bids...looking to make profit.  

 

Which is strange.  I read a while back a quote from Roman where he insisted the club isn't about making profit and it's about winning games.  Well, then why are we taking flyers on falcao and pato?  Why not shell out the quid for Auba, Nainggolan, etc?
