June 9, 201610 yr Roma and Chelsea considering West Ham defender Ogbonna - http://GianlucaDiMarzio.com That's got 2 years of people complaining about it on the shed end written all over it
June 9, 201610 yr You one of the best left backs in the BPL, I will make you the best right back in all the kingdom.
June 9, 201610 yr Dave doesn't really attack and Barca use very very attacking fullbacks. Can't see it happening for me.
June 9, 201610 yr ^ Azpi used to be quite attacking until he was shifted to the left and he became a steady fullback. Getting worried about these links to italian players, from Lichtensteiner to Sturaro, now Ogbonna.
June 9, 201610 yr Koulibaly: "Napoli, I'm out" http://www.football-italia.net/85601/koulibaly-napoli-im-out
June 9, 201610 yr Dave doesn't really attack and Barca use very very attacking fullbacks. Can't see it happening for me. Just about to say Azpi isn't good enough going forward for a team like Barca. Replacing Dani Alves won't be easy, shows you how good Alves is really.

June 9, 201610 yr I don't want to sound spoilt or like a football manager know it all but these are not exactly inspiring. I find it hard to get excited about a guy who has barely played all season (Asamoha), an overated, expensive striker (Moreta) and some random defenders I've never heard off. Whoever comes in, need to make a difference on the pitch. We can't have passengers like Pato and Falcao. Get the chequebook out Roman and sign some decent players. Buy cheap , buy twice. June 9, 201610 yr (...) some random defenders I've never heard off. Koulibaly? Rudiger? Never heard of them? If you still believe the Italian league is a great training ground for quality defenders then these are two of the most highly rated. And Koulibaly especially is not a no-name. Apart from Bonucci he's is widely perceived as the best CB in Italy (vide his making the team of the year). Sure, it would be great to get Bonucci, but honestly some of you guys are too picky. Who exactly would you see above one of the best CBs in Italy? Stones? And what makes you think Stones is actually a more inspirational option than Koulibaly?
June 9, 201610 yr Obviously Conte is going to like the MO of Italian based players, after all he is going to know them pretty bloody well....
June 10, 201610 yr Obviously Conte is going to like the MO of Italian based players, after all he is going to know them pretty bloody well.... Thats probably a good sign these players have what he wants, he's likely studied some of them for hours
June 10, 201610 yr can just imagine conte has no photos of he and his wife, only photos of all his main targets pinned to the walls around he and his wife's bedroom
June 10, 201610 yr “It looks like I’ll leave. I haven’t spoken to Conte yet, but it could happen soon,” claimed Koulibaly.
June 10, 201610 yr If it is 50 mil Euro's then yes. £39m for a Striker that will last a decade is nothing. I don't think I've seen the fee £50m quoted anywhere. #Chelsea are ready to spend €60m on Alvaro Morata, and the player is ready to give up on Champions League football to move to London. [GdS] Nope. 46m quid. 60m f***ing euros. Is this what you wanted fellas?
June 10, 201610 yr Not worth £46m. Especially when another £10m could probably buy you Auba. Would still prefer this to Lukaku though.
June 10, 201610 yr I don't think we can complain about the prices too much, surely everyone was expecting us to over pay this summer. I'd be pretty happy with koulibaly, Nainggolan and morata.
June 10, 201610 yr Auba is never coming with City and Guardiola drooling over him. If he's going anywhere its there. And prices are wild at the moment, nothing we can do about it. United spent 32 million pounds on a unknown CB that isn't even very good.
June 10, 201610 yr Koulibaly? Rudiger? Never heard of them? If you still believe the Italian league is a great training ground for quality defenders then these are two of the most highly rated. June 10, 201610 yr Apart from Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonnici and Miranda. Koulibaly has been just as good as the players you mentioned, if not better (save for Bonucci). He simply is not the first best defender in Serie A. What's more: Miranda is almost 32, Barzagli 35, Chiellini almost 32... and you would prefer them over a 25 year old Koulibaly who has been just as good a defender this year, but has age on his side?
June 10, 201610 yr As far as centrebacks go we should be looking closer to home at Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in my view. Has all the same attributes as those we have been linked to (good in the air, solid tackler, passes well pays left CB) plus he has also played in England and speaks the language. We'd have to pay a bit for him but he seems a far more viable candidate than others. Southampton's POTY in his first season as well. We might also get that young English left back of theirs as well. ... Very good center back, great at playing himself out of trouble too. Wanted us to have a look at him before he ended up at Southampton.
