May 15, 201214 yr No chnace we will play Betrand in the biggest match in our history. Essien is not what he was 3 years ago, I think it would be a mistake to expect him to replicate Ramires on the right wing. If we want to play safe, may play Mikel and Essien in the middle, Lampard further upfield, Mata left and Kalou right. I prefer to see Torres on the wing, just because he can cross the ball, and his presence will drag their defenders away from Drogba.
May 15, 201214 yr You're drunk with power. :-p lol I have no power, that would be Robbie for the game and Roman for after it :P Torres and Drogba just do not seem to work, and Sturridge is poor at the mo. We basically have noone who can fill in for Ramires, but Essien is the best option we have left. Using Mata wide is just a waste and will leave Cole exposed to Robben.

I'm a firm believer that Torres and Drogba will work against that tattered defense. It's written in the stars. In other news, I beat my friend at Fifa today 3-1 as Chelsea against Bayern with the following lineup: Cech Bossy - Cahill - Luiz - Cole Mikel - Lampard Torres - Mata - Malouda Drogba Drogba with 2, Malouda with 1. Drogba's first goal he intercepted a short pass on a Bayern free kick in their defensive third, brushed off 2 defenders, and finessed it just under the top right crossbar. Neuer had no chance. The second goal was much the same, with Drogba powering through defenders left and right at the edge of the area to cut the ball back to Malouda who sniped it bottom right. The last goal was in the 90th minute. Malouda made a nice little chip over Neuer to Drogba who headed it home.
May 15, 201214 yr Let it be said, in a sim of the Champions League final in Fifa, Torres just crossed to Drogba who headed it in. edit: sim finished, Chelsea won 2-nil. It was beautiful. Outshot 18-4 (13-1 in the first half) but that 1 shot was all they needed to score. Bayern almost tied it but Gomez doinked the header off the post. Drogba doubled the lead early in the second with another header, this time from Mata. The last minute was a flurry of shot-blocking as everybody to a man in a blue shirt put their body on the line to ensure Bayern's attempts weren't going to ruin Cech's cleansheet. Drogba was man of the match. One thing I noticed, almost 100%, Bayern advanced the ball down Bosingwa's side, lol. Edited May 15, 201214 yr by Samzilla
May 15, 201214 yr If Luiz doesn't make it this would be my team. Cech Ferriera - Bosingwer - Cahill - Cole Mikel - Lampard Torres - Mata - Kalou Drogba If Luiz is fit i would take Bos out for him. I really don't trust Boswinger at right back. Playing centre half seems to suit him, as it restricts him from going on to much of a wonder then not getting back. He plays more like Gallas used to for us, and uses his pace to sweep up behind the ball winner. If Ferriera can have Bale in his pocket for 90mins at WHL i think he can do a job on a player he should know quite well.
May 15, 201214 yr Foulup is about as bad as Turnbull. Fülöp. Which is incidentally the Hungarian version of Phillip. Edited May 15, 201214 yr by undertow

May 15, 201214 yr I'd feel much more confident on Saturday if we had two recognized centre backs playing! Come on Gary and David!
May 15, 201214 yr Cahill and Luiz apparently in full training and looking good for Saturday. Great, great news!
May 15, 201214 yr Cahill and Luiz apparently in full training and looking good for Saturday. We never doubted that they will both play from the start, not surprised in the slightest. The fact that they are not match fit could favour us though.

They've only been out for a month which isn't a long term injury. Both have been in light training for a while now. They should be fine with fitness.

Obviously they will be fit or he wouldn't play them but training doesn't make up for match practice, it just isn't the same. I'm not saying that 4 weeks out will definately make much difference but it generally takes players two or three games to recover their sharpness.
May 15, 201214 yr Hey. I've got a spare coach ticket London -> Munich, paid £109 for it but need to shift it, anyone fancy a trip to Munich for £80?

I see it all the time in sports, the first game or two back from an injury, the player is running on adrenaline and they surprise everybody by performing at a top level. Then they slump for a bit after the adrenaline wears off (lucky for us there's only one game left). I know u're a Bayern fan so I don't really expect anything different, but every bit of good Chelsea news u're the first here to tear it down and tell us all how it's actually bad news for us. That's hardly fair. I'm trying to look at everything positively from our side as you are from yours. Nothing wrong with that, we want different teams to win. Surely it's all part of the banter. I haven't come on here insulting people left right and centre after all but of course I'm looking at things from a Bayern perspective. Edited May 15, 201214 yr by zippy

This is off topic but you do know that your avatar isn't actually Eva, right? Many people seem to think it's her but I have no idea why
