I'd love to lock this thread but we would only have another 200+ pager on it somewhere soon.

Obey your instincts, Mod - you know it makes sense!

I have a dream where at 11:59pm on January 31st a swap deal including Torres + Cash has been agreed for Falcao. If only.

Since when does employing a maid restrict one from being "down to earth"?

What i mean is it seems to me that he's the type that likes to be normal. He probably goes home and cooks his own tea and does his own cleaning etc, or his missus does. He doesn't seem the type to have servants.

I had a bizarre dream we signed Defoe, no idea why, but I remember being quite happy.

Its a crying shame it just hasn't worked out for us. From the elation and absolute joy of him scoring against West Ham (has there ever been a more celebrated goal?) the noise was sensational. Everyone was willing this guy luck or whatever to score get the monkey off his back and start doing the business.

Its not the poor touches or poor finishing that has me pissed off , its the apparent lack of fight and effort that bothers me more than anything. I hate and detest any of our players being booed , even in this instance I can't justify it.

Let me make it clear , he has been poor no doubt , but lets not forget plenty of our other players have gone missing this season and haven't been lambasted as much. It would probably suit all to just let him go sooner rather later. His so called relationship with him alongside his poor form has really put Torres in the bad books with the crowd and I fear there is no coming back from there.

My friend claims that his parents' housemaid (they are very wealthy) is friends with Fernando Torres' housemaid. He claims that she told him that Torres beats his maid every time she makes a mistake. Make of that what you will.

What a load of horse sh*t, if anyone believes that they are a mug and I'll be happy to sell them a can of magic Heinz beans for £1000.

Just PM me.

What do the magic beans do?

Maybe it could have a forum all of its own.

Surely this thread can be closed now. There is not even a debate being had. We are all in unison that Torres is tonk and he will most probably be gone by the summer. Surely this thread can be locked and new threads can be open when an issue on Torres comes about.

Whilst Torres may be becoming bigger than CFC, we are not helping the issue by talking about him all the f-ing time. He is the worst transfer in the history of football. Lets lock the thread and just wait for him to leave for China.

Said the poster who has 9 active posts.

I have been reading Shed End threads since about October as I decided to get back into being on a forum (I was on CFCnet around 2006-2009).

But let me give a perspective from a new member: I have been extremely put off from participating in the forum as Torres just seems to be at the core of everything. I don't see the purpose of this thread. It just seems that it's thread which involves anything and everything that happens to Torres. Individual issues are not being debated and thus the whole thread turns into one big rant about Nando.

nonotnowjim, whether I have 9 posts or 99,999 posts, my opinion on this thread shouldn't matter. Or are only the opinions of the regulars valid?

Things get a whole lot worse, the guy we tracked all the way to the wire in the last transfer window nets on his QPR debut.

Meanwhile Sturridge poaches another goal alongside the man who replaced the most expensive mistake in the history of the game to make it 3 in 3.

What price Lukaku scoring later and Torres being picked ahead of Ba by his Spanish bum chum.

I completely agree with your points in bold....as you have said you are a regular reader, then you will no doubt be familiar with my previous posts over the last year and my particular bugbear of all other threads being turned into a debate about Torres. I have also regularly requested that this thread is used as it should be, i.e discussing performances rather than ranting.

Given that above, any contribution about Torres should go here in this thread, a thread that is dedicated to him. There is no need to close it down. If anybody doesnt want to read about Torres, then it makes sense not to click in the thread in the first place.

Suarez and Torres did play together at Liverpool, so he didn't really replace Torres, Andy Carroll replaced Torres

Suarez and Torres DIDN'T play together at Liverpool. Liverpool bought Suarez as a strike partner for Torres, but Torres told them he wanted to leave, and he was with us before Suarez made his LFC debut. Liverpool replaced Torres with Carroll and he turned out to be equally as big a mistake.
