No blame can be put on him for today, he at least looked like he wanted it when he came on and was far more energetic than Hazard or Mata for those last few minutes.

The manger's fault for putting him so obviously out of position. I mean has he not watched a single Chelsea game for the last 2 years? Has he not seen Torres's touch or passing ability? It was always going to fail, I was actually curious to see how the two of them would work up front together, Ba winning balls and setting up shots for Torres could actually have worked, but no put him on the right f**king wing where he can do sh*t all.

That's because we have a useless excuse for an interim manager that is f**king clueless

Rafa's fault, not Torres. Torres tried but as we all know he is sh*t.

Rafa the tactical genius' brilliant idea to get us a goal with 15 minutes remaining: bring off the second highest scorer in the clubs history, a player who can get goals from anywhere and is equally adept at assisting goals. Replace him with a player who has played worse in recent weeks than any Chelsea player I have ever seen, play him out of position, and move one of the most promising attacking midfield talents into defensive mid. No formation change. Torres on the right wing and Oscar playing just in front of the defence.

What a f**king retard.

Honestly, I was more annoyed with Lampard walking off the field and taking his time like we were up a goal...

Frank is showboating a bit at the moment for sure.

He gave the ball away a lot, got tackled too much, dithered as usual,  gave away stupid fouls, kicked the ball away.

I am begging to resent the sight of him on the field, never had that for any Chelsea player before.

The better part of me feels so sorry for him, he has lost it all and just needs to go back to Spain.

Not down to Torres this defeat, in fact that was the best I've seen from him for weeks.

Joust, seriously, you're digging him out for missing a cross by 2 feet??? Really.

There was 10 minutes left it was 2-2 and Rafa put him on the wing.

I don’t know if people expect a sub to come on an instantly be up to speed with games but if they do then they have never experienced playing football in their puff.

Torres was average at best when he came on but no better or no worse than the majority of the players out there who were lethargic and losing possetion all second half.

The match thread shows why he cant stay here anylonger, when he was warming up people were posting “ We have lost now f**k off Torres”, “Why bring on that *&*&*” ect ect.

It’s over for him.

My friend claims that his parents' housemaid (they are very wealthy) is friends with Fernando Torres' housemaid. He claims that she told him that Torres beats his maid every time she makes a mistake. Make of that what you will.

Is she Spanish too?

I ask this, because I can't see a British worker being prepared to put up with that sort of treatment.

I'm sitting here again thinking 50 million - really it is mind blowing. Ronaldo and Messi would have been in this bracket a few years back.

Torres has to be in denial as a footballer - grabbing shedloads -,he deserves to be like Malouda in the stiffs but at least Florent gave 100 per cent in the main.

He wasn't on the wing when put through with only the keeper to beat - instead of a quick snapshot he hesitated to put the ball on his favoured right foot, went outside and screwed the ball yards wide.

''kin useless springs to mind - how much was RVP again ?

Really? I thought Malouda stopped trying after Carlo's first season in charge.

Thank you for summing up my feelings exactly. A mixture of pity and general disdain when I see him out there.

I don't believe that for one minute.

Torres isn't strong enough to beat a maid.

I don't believe that for a minute. Not one minute. I doubt he even has a housemaid, he seems too down to earth.

so what? he is probably missing every punch

Strongly disagree with the last part there Jonty. Over the past two seasons all his best work has come from wide positions. He constantly drifts out wide when we need him to be offering us a focal point centrally. It has led me to say, many times, that he looks like a frustrated winger at heart. He is also arguably the most consistent crosser of a ball we have from wide areas.

All told, the only position I would consider giving him any game time in is as a wide player supporting a proper centre-forward.

Pretty big accusation to make without proof, I don't think it's cool to start slagging off people's character off the field because they aren't performing well on it.

Fair enough, I think it depends on the match, in games where the other team is parked and he's not going to have much room to operate, I don't think he has a good enough touch or ball control in those area's to be effective, if he's on the wing running at players he still has decent pace and can beat a man, and in those instances he may be more useful.
