I see no use in the Kinect TV guide, sky guide is quicker and easier. They've confirmed that used games will require a "small fee" (read: probably the retail cost of the game minus £5).

 

They only showed 4 games, only one of which was confirmed to be running on the X-Bone and none of which featured gameplay footage.

 

Not a good unveiling at all really. Sony and Nintendo's shares rose, MS's dipped a bit.

They did show the consol itself though and got all tge features out of its way pretty much. Would say they have the best outcome for e3 now only having to focus on the gaming point of view, exclusives and so on!

For that reason alone i can't see myself getting the Xbox One. I am someone who only buys used games, i don't want to have to pay out more after i have bought it, i can't afford to do that.

 

Also think about parents with more than 1 child, they would need to pay out more money just so their other kid/kids can play the game. If you are rich then this is no big deal but a lot of people won't be able to afford this thing.

 

I am completely disappointed by this reveal, all Sony need to say is "used games WON'T require a fee" and they win, simple as that really.

PC Gaming is much better nowadays anyway.

Well yeah, it's like 5 years ahead compared to consoles. Never could get into it though, been using consoles since forever.

I have just now found out that this hasn't actually been confirmed, damn i thought we were done with these rumors.

Rumour I read is the used games thing is being pushed by the publishers, therefore it will be the same for the ps4.

I gave my old PS1 away along with a rather large number of games, thought nothing of it at the time but came to bitterly regret it a few years later once the nostalgia pangs kicked in!

I keep selling my consoles to cover part cost of the new one. I feel nostalgic thinking about my N64 (even though when I had it, I wanted a PS so I could have Shane Warne's cricket)

TOCA Touring Cars was the game that drew me to the PS, played it at a friends house and I was hooked, simply had to get it for myself.

I was quite lucky as a kid so i had

Gameboy>Gamegear>NES>SNES>Megadrive>PS1>PS2>PSP>PS3>Xbox360.

Saying that tho, from the PS1 i bought the rest myself.

I still have my gameGear and original Gameboy.

I have almost all the consoles, I gave my sister my PS2 and PS1 but I could easily get it back if I wanted. Never got a gamecube though, it was clearly a heap of sh*t.

I have a TV to watch & a computer to surf the internet, I buy a games console specifically to play games. I can see me switching to Sony at this rate, it'll take something special at E3 to change my mind.

^ My son was the same way Eb. I showed him some of the stuff that Microsoft presented and he was just meh over the whole thing.

I hope you're right mate I really do, but I'm not so sure they're using a weaker processor than sony and of the 8gb of RAM only 5 is for games as opposed to sony giving developers the full 8gb to play with, it seems whoever brings out the better console then follows it up with a poor one and allows the other company back in.

Problem with the new Xbox, half the stuff the demoed at the presentation won't even apply to the release outside of the US.

 

Xbox Live TV isn't going to be available upon it's release outside of the US and the whole American Football Fantasy Team integration is non relevant to outside of the states.

 

The whole 15 exclusives in the first year is also most likely misleading as there is a very good chance a fair chuck of those exclusives are going to be Kinect games.

Don't think any specs are confirmed yet for cpu and gpu? all we got to see where the 8gb of ram if im not mistaken.

 

Rumours and leaks and that could all be wrong, i'll just make sure to decide after E3!

Haven't watched the presentation but I think its outrageous that you are not allowed to play 360 games on it. The pre owned fee is also a complete disgrace. I have only seen still of graphics, could pass off as a 360 game from what I have seen. Maybe I sound like an old fart, but with each console release I feel the core fun of gaming is dying out for the sake of realistic graphics. Xbox with their apps and tv etc is a good idea to appeal to a wide audience, but are they losing their way a bit? <br />

Xbox just killed it at E3, so many good exclusives and twitch tv.

 

499 USD for it though, could have been cheaper - better start saving up a little every now and then, its out in november.

 

 

Battlefield 4 and Titanfall crushed CoD, both looks amazing and run 60 fps, the new Halo game was a massive surprise as well, dead rising 3/quantum break

 

looked amazing!

 

PS4 will have to have many better exclusives to make me get one of their consoles.

It's going to be hard to justify spending that much on destroying what I have left of a social life
