Boudewijn Zenden appointed as Benitez Nr.2

Featured Replies

Yep, we had a lot of hope for Zenden as a player way back and I always liked his cultured football style - ex PSV and Chels so that's 1 positive point.

Big shame about Eddie, I hope we see him back on Chelsea TV very soon.

Met this appointment with a puzzled look. Not quite sure about it.

An experienced no.2 would have been more suitable though..oh well, Boudewijn it is!

My memories of Zenden as a Chelsea player are pretty simple. His first 45 mins in a blue shirt where he looked like Jarzhinho. And then the rest where he was utterly sh*te, with a special penchant for not tracking back.

Hey-ho. Doesn't really matter anymore does it ? He'll only be here for 18 months max, 6 months min ? We might as well bring in Charlotte Church one of these times.

For some reason I used to think Zenden was really good before he joined us, and when he arrived I assumed he was past it. I also remember he put in a spectacular performance against us when we lost 3-0 at home to Sunderland.

Frankly I think this is a f**king circus, bring back Di Matteo you fat cat idiots!

You serious? i'm about as underwhelmed by this as another Torres run though on goal. He's got little identity with Chelsea fans.

Anyone know what happened to his face recently?

In the press (so probably boll***s) this apparently happend in the Chelsea dressing room after the game against WBA. All went off, but i am only saying what has been written in the press.

You have misread Neil Ashton's article. It says

Three days earlier, in the dressing room at The Hawthorns, the fingers had been pointed by the players in a post-match inquest following the 2-1 defeat. It sounded explosive.

Holland, the assistant manager, had arrived at the ground with a black eye and a cut underneath his left cheek. After the fireworks that followed the final whistle, it is a wonder there were no further casualties.

He turned up at WBA with a black eye. He did not suffer the injury at the ground. I'm sure Ashton wants readers to think that but it is not what he actually wrote. He mischievously adds that he is surprised someone didn't get injured in the dressing room 'fireworks'.

Yeah let's hang the ex (flop) Chels player before he starts. He doesn't need managerial experience, just football/tactical/spotting experience. He's been in the game and might have an eye for it - i don't know and neither do any of us. I'm not about to crucify him tho jus cos he's been partnered with RB.
