July 25, 201411 yr Got to love the irony if Lukaku being bought as Drogba's successor and it being Drogba returning that drives him out.
July 26, 201411 yr Did I see a photo of him training with Anderlecht? Seems strange, if he wants to train why not join the team in Austria?
July 26, 201411 yr I'd like to see him stay but have a feeling he may go to a mid table team.If he decides to go to a mid table team it is his choice and he is clearly not ready to fight for titles. Then we'd know.
July 26, 201411 yr Did I see a photo of him training with Anderlecht? Seems strange, if he wants to train why not join the team in Austria? Because in Anderlecht he can still stay with his family and spend time with old friends.
July 26, 201411 yr I don't care. Not a constructive post I know but I'm sure many have the same apathy about Rom.
July 26, 201411 yr I just wish the club would give us an answer on Lukaku, there's a hell of a lot of media talk about Everton signing him
July 26, 201411 yr Love that Chelsea fans now hate one of their best prospects after a few confected and edited media beat-ups. The internet and football, innit great!
July 26, 201411 yr Remember when Lukaku first came, he wasn't like any other youth that came to sign it felt like we signed some random fan who has been going to games for years. He said ran upstairs got his Chelsea top and ran around the front room with his parents, and then he made that video when he was almost in tears, actually he might of been crying. I always thought he was a bit soft for a striker, but the past two years have shown he has an attitude, I like it to be honest. I'm not listening to the media tripe, he's our player right now and I think he will remain our player, if he doesn't remain our player though we would surely regret it.
July 26, 201411 yr Who's said they hate him? If some of the commentors in this thread don't hate him, I shudder to think how they talk about people they do hate. Edited July 26, 201411 yr by Jonty
July 26, 201411 yr I really felt like he was staying but the more links with Everton the more I think he is off
July 26, 201411 yr I really felt like he was staying but the more links with Everton the more I think he is off This is the same denial I had with Mata. I keep telling myself he wont go and Jose will will him round but there isnt smoke without fire and we have ALOT of smoke at the moment.
July 26, 201411 yr I can see him going, and us going into the season with costa, torres, and Drogba, which is very very worrying. Just have to hope costa does the buisness and stays injury and suspension free, otherwise we will have problems in the striking department, as we have had for the last 3 seasons in the league.
July 26, 201411 yr Maybe Torres will be sold and Lukaku will be given the 9 shirt. How great would that be.
July 26, 201411 yr Everton is really trying to buy him. He is a good player but it seems he is willing to settle for midtable mediocricy. He wants to be a good player but not a title winner.
July 26, 201411 yr Don't f**king tell me that. If true, Chelsea's management is making a huge mistake.
July 26, 201411 yr It's a shame but that's a good price I think, and if the mgmt didn't feel his attitude was quite right then I don't blame them for cashing in. He still only has raw potential as far as I'm concerned, not too sure if this is something we will regret in 5 years time. Dubious if it will come back and bite us. Who knows? Feels like we have been through a lot with him over the past 3 years, yet you can count the amount of times he has played for us more or less on one hand. Best of luck to him but I'm certainly not as fussed as others will be. We can't miss someone who didn't play for us after all. Still think we've got another transfer in coming yet...midfield or defence. Edited July 26, 201411 yr by bjd
July 26, 201411 yr Wolfsburg eh? Christ. So it's actually happening. Bookies have stopped taking bets on it. I can't help but feel JM must have another ace up his sleeve. Surely we aren't going into this season with just Costa, Drogba and Torres....surely! Unless Mourinho has big plans for young Bamford.
July 26, 201411 yr In Bamford we trust? Lol. Why not though? It would be nice to see one of our young 'uns actually making a name for themselves by banging in the goals. It's just not going to be Lukaku, unfortunately...
July 26, 201411 yr If he doesn't want to stay and compete for a place, then I don't mind if he leaves to be honest. The club can't force him to stay, especially when there's only 2 years left on his contract.
